It's just so touching. Seeing Miranda, the ice queen, lying down on Shepard, crying and holding on to him as if they were the only ones left from the Reaper invasion, almost makes me wanna cry!

But i really want that art in Deck 1 instead of Blasto, the Jellyfish DICK.
Deck 1 needs serious ART to you and LI, not hanar multi-dick feeling increaser, and this is final point -
Patryk Olejniczak is for the artist (Casey Hudson for the president!)!
Let him draw every possible LI together with Bioware artist team and someone present it to you and your LI on the ceremony, or we buying/accidentally finding it on Citadel/homeworld of race your LI belongs to...

yea he's great but this is like the 100th time we've seen his work in a thread.
Don't be a knob. This thread is 2 months old and contains all the collected works. Would you rather a seperate topic was posted each time this guy does a new piece of art?

I say this because the creators at BioWare have cited 80s sci-fi films as a source of artistic inspiration--going so far as to use the heavily synthesized music so prevalent in those films. One of those films specifically cited was Bladerunner, arguably one of the most celebrated films within the genre among fans.
Mr. Olejniczak seems to imbue the characters of ME with the same brooding, urban, film-noire-by-way-of sci-fi grittiness. Each portrait seems so personal, and yet so epic. Contrast that to BioWare's choice of the ME2 game disk cover, which in my opinion, was an utterly forgettable action movie cliche of Shepard, Miranda, and Thane glowering and brandishing their guns--steroids in technicolor--booorrrring.
I look at a piece like his portrait of Miranda more casually dressed, and I feel like I'm seeing an entire new interior life I have not seen before. In her face you see the rigid need to maintain discipline which is ever threatened by her haunted and world-weary eyes (it's not easy being Daddy's genetically perfect girl!).
And having her in a tank top and (ahem) short shorts oddly makes her sensuality more...subtle compared to her skintight Cerberus uniform. And when juxtaposed with her omni-tool, it creates a sense of vulnerability, as if she can't escape her duties and obligations even when she's dressed casually.
However, my least favorite has to be the one of Shepard leaning on the bannister. The proportions were truly bizarre--the head was big and the arms were preternaturally short, almost as if he were a 30-year-old infant. Still, if the proportions were off, the atmosphere was still on target and far more compelling than the current artwork "gracing" the ME2 game cover.

Very nice artwork, but better? Hmmm, stylistically, there seems to be something more...maybe Neverwinter Nights about it than sci-fi epic. And perhaps just a dash of American McGee's Alice.
