And you expected what, a thousand NPCs filling the city? There are clearly people around in most of the city areas. I don't need to feel like I'm stuck in Kolkata.
This. Kirkwall looks really good, and there's plenty of people around. Why would one want more people on the streets? I mean, some must in in their homes, no need to wander around for no reason.

YUCK. Brown, brown, brown aaaaand...Light brown. What the hell happened to the vibrant colors Origin's had? Is this Dragon Age or Gears of DragonAge? Maybe if I delude myself that I am playing a Dune based game then it'll be better.
Everything just looks so bland and uninspiring.
you played the first game right?

It seems the Denerim Market had more inspiring art design then the whole city of Kirkwall. Dude, even the most boring area in origins, The Deep Roads, had more personality and better color scheme. Everything just looks like it was made from sand.BeardedNinja wrote...

Also, the facial textures look horrendous. This vid has single handedly unsold me. I'll just wait when this game gets an ultimate type edition or gets dirt cheap.

Yes I have. And as much as origins had it's fair share of boring art design it was never as bad as this. Like I've said before. Even Deep Roads had a better use of colors. At least that part had a good excuse on why everything looked bland. This, however, is just awful.DrunkenMonkey wrote...

Bold claim since we havent even seen the whole city yet, just certain parts of it. But if you want to base the whole game off that one video and put origins up on and unreachable golden pedastal be my guest.Morducai wrote...

Have you pherhaps (I say pherhaps) noticed that the gameplay almost totally lacked contrast while increasing luminosity (and not a thing having to do with the game)? Now, just for your knowledge, without contrast/more luminosity colors lose saturation, and losing saturation you lose color.
You seem very good and keen at noticing lack of color, yet, strangely, you seem at the same time so unattentive about this "little" particular. How comes?

I was really hoping that the repetitive stabbing animation a S&S warrior has when using Shield Defence would not be in the full game. Looks quite bad.
Obviously you have no idea what you're talking about. One, it makes perfect sense to change the combat animation. Two, this is how you would fight with a shield defensively.

Um, you do know that humans (in the real world) have been using clay mud to build dwellings for thousands of years, yes?
Today, underdeveloped countries / villages still use clay mud to make huts.
Hell even with advancements in construction thanks to Roman engineering, clay bricks became a cheap & readily available material to use.
