Toolset- modding ability is one of the reasons I like DA so much.

Toolset obviously. Why would anyone willingly subject themselves to DLC gouging?

So, the console gamers should also reclaim their rights and ask for a toolset compatible with their consoles, or at least, the content compatible with their games

It's not that the toolset can't make content for the consoles; it's that the console makers (Microsoft at least) won't generally allow mods to be distributed outside their networks (Sony has been known to allow it for certain games, though).

DLC. I've seen some horrendous community made campaigns...no thanks!
But do we have to choose?

Mods. Purely for editing the UI, because it is...not to my liking.

Well, that is their fight against Microsoft. On the other side, I don't see  why people in console say no toolset because we don't have it. Valve has get PS3 players to be able to play mods for Portal2 and a PS3 player play with a PC player (though I don't know how they will level it).

That reminds me when I was little and someone had a ball and said something like I'm not winning and the ball is mine so we stop... :D

Anyway, always more is better, isn't it?  I don't like what Microsoft does with its console

I'd prefer a toolset. Not that I'd use it, but I'd definitely use the mods. For instance, I prefer not to play Dragon Age Origins without the "Skip the Fade" mod.

Toolset, unless DLC content provides new  item models for any additional weapons or armor. Retextures suck. <_<

I'm sure even without the toolset someone like Darn will make a better UI. Honestly someone should seriously give Darn a job considering the guy can do no wrong in redesigning UIs.

DLC. I know some people think their little fan creations are anything on par with what Bioware does, but it's a joke to even think such things. If I just wanted the gaming equivalent of fan fiction, I'd still be playing with the other toolsets and not care for DA2.

felfenix, have you ever played europa universalis 3? and then played the mod magna mundi? (and now, the modders of magna mundi are making a game with the same name), hearts of iron? (in their 3 iterations) and in hoi3, played with I.C.E.? or the total war series games, did you ever played the mods Europa Barbarourum or Medieval total realism? they were far better than the games...

and i can't speak about the elders scroll series...

and the neverwinternights?...

Ever hear of Wyvern Crown of Cormyr? Or Darkness over Daggerford? Both of these were created by modders; one actually became a Bioware Premium Module, and the other was supposed to be, but Atari backed out of the deal at the last minute. In fact, at least one person that worked on Wyvern Crown of Cormyr later went to work for Bioware, and was involved in developing DAO.

This is a false choice. I refuse to choose. DLC is great. Toolsets are great.
