The DAO DLC was nice because it wasn't just items, it was new content. That's probably because of the toolset.

1) Release a toolset and promote fan made DLC better. Making them easier to find/download and perhaps running a top-10 rated and revievewd list etc.
2) I do want to see more DLC and are happy to pay for both more party member and longer DLC style adventures. It doesn't have to be Awakening length (do I would love it) but Witch Hunt (while I liked it) was too short to be ok. I guess 8-12 hours would be the length I was looking for (even longer is better) with voice over etc.

I don't hate most of the DLC, but i wasn't impressed by Darkspawn Chronicles and Witch Hunt.
Reasons for a Toolset: Some Modders have added a lot of missing and bugged content back into the game, like ZevFix and the Morrigan Restoration Patch. These are just a few examples, i'm sure i've missed out more. The BioWare Patches didn't fix everything unfortunately. I dread to think that some bugs might never get fixed in DA2, like what happened after the Landsmeet in Origins. A group of members of this community created fixes for that problem within weeks after the games release, and saved us poor PC users from ripping out are hair in frustration.
Please give us a Toolset.
There were a lot of things restored to the game via mods that were taken out before it was released into vanilla. The Morrigan stuff should have been left in the game. I don't get that. They create it but then they take it out of the game whereby modders find all the missing content and restore it for us. They should release full when the game goes gold.

Its quite obvious how this goes
pc gamers: want toolest
console gamer: want dlc
There are quite a lot of PC gamers, including ones that want the toolset, that also want DLC.

DLC serves all platforms. A Toolset serves only the PC community.

Does it? If not for the toolset and the Extra Dog Slot mod for DAO, do you really think that Bioware would have made a summonable Mabari for DA2?
Not everyone agrees PC is best version(bugs more prevalent than other platforms)
Odd, one of the reasons why I prefer the PC version is that it gets less bugs and there's usually a speedy fix for it from one modder or another. I'm pretty sure a lot of the broken dialogues and questlines fixed in the mods I mentioned are broken in consoles.

I'm done with the main argument. Just thought I'd let you know that atleast in my experience, I have never encountered broken questlines/dialogue on the console. A few in Awakening perhaps, but none in Origins.
Cheers.

A toolset is always welcome. As for DLC, honestly, I'd prefer a proper expansion, like Awakening was, rather than small downloadable quest packs or worse (item, companion or skin packs).
Yes, must have toolset
I also prefer expansions. I will buy DLC that adds to the main game but not seperate mini-adventures.

I'm a PC gamer, and I want DLC, even single-adventure type stuff. I liked Witch Hunt, for instance. I don't care that it re-used a lot of zones (in fact I kind of liked revisiting places), or that it was a little short, and although I found the situation at the end rather bittersweet and not quite what I would have wished for, I was glad to have an "official" resolution to the relationship with Morrigan. To me, fan made content doesn't have the right to create story elements or plots for Bioware characters. I regard them as fakery or cheating unless it is created from actual Bioware material.
Frankly I don't see why any of these things are mutually exclusive, though. I play consoles, too, and I also want a toolset. Mods have contributed immeasureably to my continued interest in DAO and the enjoyment of playing it.
I play DA on my PC, mostly because I feel that RPGs play better on PC with the keyboard and mouse interface, and because the graphics are better. I first bought ME for XBox, but later got it again for PC and I have to say that I enjoyed it more that way. Also because RPGs are the games that I most care about mods for. Other types of games I like playing on the console like, say, Assassin's Creed, or Forza.
I don't see why people feel the need to categorize people as "console gamers" or "PC gamers", and I don't see why people restrict themselves that way. It's kind of silly.

I don't play games on the PC because in my house we only have one computer. I do have my own personal laptop but it's not meant to play games on. I play on my PS3 or either my brothers XBOX360. Thus making me a console player and why I picked DLC.
You said so on your post that you prefer playing the games on the PC. You still want the toolset because you can play on your PC.
Its quite obvious how this goes
People who will play on PC (PC gamers) will want toolset
People who will play on consoles (Console gamers) will want DLC
If the toolset is made available for PS3 I will gladly choose both also. =)
