I've just completed the landsmeet and am on my way to redcliffe but I cant select Alistair as a party member. I thought this was normal at first but when I reached redcliffe and had the dialog with the eamon Alistair was invisible throughout all his parts of the conversation, you could hear him speaking etc you just couldn't see him.
If anyone has any solutions I'd really appreaciate it, my last save point is when Im rescuing anora

Have you installed any third-party mods to the game?

Do you have Extra Dog Slot installed? That will cause exactly that problem.

Yep I have extra dog slot installed :-( am I just gonna have to go back to that last save point? is there anything else i can do?

You'll probably have to remove the mod and play without it if it's causing you a problem.

Go back to the save point, remove Dog Mod and replay. Just hope that save point was before you left for the Landsmeet. There are several points in the game where Extra Dog will screw things up. One is the Prison scene in Fort Drakon and the other is the Landsmeet/Redcliffe section.

I'm having the same problem, and am using extra dog slot. I will have to play again, and try this.

Edit to add: I suspected at first, extra dog slot might cause the problem, but I deactivated it. Now I will uninstall it and reload an earlier save, pre landsmeet. But that link helped confirm a few things. Thanks again, this has been driving me nuts!

Yeah; I am replaying the game again, and Alister is invisible after the land meet in Redcliffe castle. Thing is I don't have any mods on the game at all. To add to it I have never fought the final battle even though I have finished it twice before. It refuses to work or did the first time I played the game as well as when I replayed it because the final battle did not work in the first attempt. Alister's room door won't even let me open it. When he does come into a seen you can hear him, but cannot see him. So it looks like te third time and I still can't finish it right. Of course the tech support has never had any solution either. I even called in or emailed back and forth last time with of course no resolution. I found out that if I turn the res down when I get to the final battle that will supposedly fix that at least hopefully, but I was gonna try to get Alister to impregnate Morrigan as I decided to play as a female this time. I don't know pretty disgusting fom an IT point of veiw really not to ever be able to finish a finished product game ever.
