Couldn't decide what to do on Noveria. But eventually I just killed the ****. I don't buy into the queens whole speech about not trying to kill eveyrone again. Plus I hate insects.
Do you usually kill the Rachni queen?

I didn't kill her, because the plot of ME3 to make a super big army of geth/rachni/krogan/alliance/council races pretty much explains itself.

I killed her my first time. I was doing a renegade playthrough and I thought she was trying a little too hard to convince me of her pacifist nature. Talking about singing songs and all that, it seemed like she was trying hard to exploit my sympathy. I was sure letting her live would backfire.
Now that I'm more familiar with the franchise, I'm certain that saving the queen will help you in ME3. Still, she's dead on my main playthrough.

Nope never have. Could see the upside of having Rachni on my side.

Yes. The Rachni are supposed to be a dead species. I thought everything would be simpler if I kept that statement true.
It reminded me of a similar situation in Jade Empire. Someone complains that his father's ghost is haunting him and the gravedigger sends you after him. Turns out the old man is alive and doesn't want to leave his house. When you find out, you can say to him: "so if you were dead for real, there wouldn't be any problem, right?", and then you proceed to kill him. lol!

I personally killed the rachni queen my first two times through. I just thought of what would happen once they got their population back under control. They would once again create havoc, so I decided to just end them.
After my second playthrough I realized that it would help my chances in ME3 or atleast hopefully it would so I decided to spare them. I would really like to see something significant done in ME3 because of this decision, but not just the references in ME2.

I spared her in one playthrough and killed her in the second. after that I think I spared her in most, especially after the revelation in ME2...
(spoilers)
that the original Rachni war was started when the Reapers indoctrinated the Rachni

No, I just did it one time, in a renegade playthrough. I usually can't bring myself to kill the queen.

More often than not I kill the Queen. Cries for mercy sound a bit hollow coming from a dead woman's lips. Also it seems a big risk to take and we gain...nothing.

I usually don't kill her. Can't really explain why. Maybe I'm just uncomfortable with the whole acid bath thing.

From 11 Shepard's, she is dead in 2 and in one of those playthrough's isn't imported from ME1.

Save her. Aside from the potential help, not my place to decide whether a species becomes extinct or not.

I killed her a few times. the way the dialogue is written makes you feel like a complete and utter heel for doing that, but it wasn't in character for the Shepards in question to accept as big of a liability as Rachni, especially once you consider just how easily they seem to go all "Alien" on you

Nah, I only killed her once, and that was in my evil file. You'd have to be pretty cruel to completely wipe out any species like that... and even if she did start sh*t up again, it wouldn't take much to pay her a visit and fill her with some bullets.
ME 2 SPOILERS
And I think they made it pretty clear in ME 2 that they had been indoctrinated and that they weren't evil at all.

yes, for the simple reason that the galatic power balance would be upset if they would return.
i stil believe that the council, alliance and the krogan clans united will be ablt to fend off any reaper threat.

I think I've only ever killed her once, I just couldn't condemn the entire race to extinction when it wasn't the Queen in the tanks fault. It was bad enough that you had to kill her children because they could no longer hear her song, that and I'd like to see what they will do in ME3 considering the Queen says that their song will ignite the darkness or something like that, its been a while since I played through ME1.

I've tried to let her live but finish her off every time. The song and dance she gives to try and convince you to save her is just that - song and dance. And I've seen the little speech her Asari slave...ummm, I mean "servant" gives you in ME2. But if the Rachni queen was so great, why doesn't she tell you where she's at - I mean you did save her and all. Oh well, maybe it will come back to bite me but I can never save the Rachni, it took entire armies of Krogan to defeat them the first time, I really don't feel like going up against such a tough enemy again - I've already got the Reapers coming to make it a miserable day.

She makes it pretty clear they were indoctrinated though.
I think it would be an interesting turn if it came back to bite up on the butt, but she made it pretty clear her ancestors had been indoctrinated.

Always. It's not worth the risk, considering the trouble they caused in the Rachni Wars.

She's obviously conscious, and unlike what is implied about the Reapers, the rachni have nothing to gain from genocide that requires them to commit it. I always fail to find a reason to kill her, whether her words are sincere or not.

I usally play a paragade. However, I never kill the Rachni queen. The Krogan don't exactly strike me as the negotiative type. So as far as I'm concerned, they were unfairly eradicated. Besides, there are of better use against the reapers when alive.
