So i only originally played DA:O when it came out. I just went out and got the expansion and all the DLC. I think i am going to play through all of it to get ready for DA 2. But i dont know how all the dlc and the bonus stuff they unlock work with origins and the expansion. Like if i play through all the dlc, then play through origins, then play through awakening would that work? Or should i play through origins, then do the dlc, then do awakenings? I mean if the dlc unlocks stuff for origins, why not do them first to have that stuff for the play through?
So basically, what order would you suggest playing through the content? And how do i get the stuff unlocked from the dlc in the campaign stuff?
question about DA:O, awakenings, and dlc to da 2

in order of timeline they go: Lelaina's song, Origins main game, Awakening, Amgarrak, Witch Hunt

Shane, the save chain for imports, and the "timeline" at which events happen is Origins > Awakenings > Golems of Amgarakk > Witch Hunt. Leliana's song happens before Origins and it is more of a stand alone DLC that doesn't transfer over to DA2.
So if you play through everything in order, you'd only need to transfer over or import your Witch Hunt save file to have all of your Origins, Awakenings, and Golem's progress tracked.

do i need to do origins before doing the dlc? or could i do all the dlc missions, then start a new origins game and get the bonus items from the dlc?
