All,
I am running Win 7 and just installed BG1 with TOTSC and BG2 with ToB. I am having an issue with my single player game. I'm in Chapter 3 and am cleaning out the vampire section in the Graveyard district. I have defeated two named vampires and have met with Lassal near Bodhi's grave. I met with him in the spiked room, he spoke his bit, then I slaughtered him. I then went into the grave room to stake the three graves but, alas, I cannot stake any of them. I went to Aran and he won't allow me to progress to the next chapter.
I do not have ShadowKeeper installed, so I don't know what variables are set or not set. I also have no patches installed.
I was able to play the game in Multiplayer and was able to get through this chapter and beyond. Any replies are greatly appreciated!

If that is true, and you've killed all the vampires possible, then you'll have to do the following. Download and install Shadow Keeper. Open your saved game in that program. Browse over to the Global Variables tab and search for the following variables and make sure they are set as I listed below:
SPRITE_IS_DEADLASSAL02 1
SPRITE_IS_DEADBODVAM01 1
SPRITE_IS_DEADBODVAM02 1
Once those three variables are set correctly, the triggers for the coffins should come online so that you can stake them.
After editting those variables, save your game under a new name, exit SK, open your game in SOA and try the coffins.
You might want to first try leaving the area and returning to see if that makes the trigger work. If that does nothing, then check to make sure that the "LassalVampires" global variable is set to less than 3 (using Shadow Keeper).
You may be able to use the CLUAConsole to do the following:
CLUAConsole:SetGlobal("Coffin3","AR0801",2)
The combination of that and the "LassalVampires" being less than 3 may cause Bodhi to appear (it'll act like you just staked the last coffin; at least, according to the script it will). You may have to try this both when you are outside the area and while you are inside the area to see if it works. Sometimes such global settings fix a problem while other times they do not.
Oh, if you don't know how to use the CLUAConsole, follow these directions:
First, open the baldur.ini file (found in your BG2 main directory) with Notepad (or your favorite text editor) and look for a heading labeled [Program Options] (in Win7, you'll have to edit it as an admin to save the file correctly afterwards). Under this heading, type "Debug Mode=1" (without the quotation marks) and then save and exit the editor. Start your game in BG2 and, once you're in the game, press the key combination CTRL-SPACE to activate the console. That is when you enter the CLUAConsole command as I mentioned above and press ENTER.
And please, install the patch and even look at the unofficial G3 fixes. Playing unpatched is asking for glitches.

I downloaded the Shadowkeeper and those values were already set. I did the CLUAConsole and it worked. Thank you very much!

Not running the patches is insane - you will most likely continue to run into all sorts of bugs and weirdness. There's no reason not to patch your games - it will make your game much more enjoyable.

Dante2377, where are the patches located? I tried patching through the game menu as well as going to the Bioware website...

for BG2, if you're installing TOB, you don't need the SOA-only patch. So install is like this:
SoA
ToB
ToB Patch
from there highly recommded to use G3 Fixpack next.
