That's the trick really with Sten-duty. Your duty is to end the blight so side tracking with Sten is going to turn him off.

Oghren's race is dwarf isn't it?
Nothing special about that.

look at it, he got some magic resistance

So do all Dwarves.

i was talking about dwarves ....

edit: i had quoted the guy who said sten was getting a a racial so it was balancing so i stated that Ohgren was having one too so it was irrelevent his balancing thing

Well. The way you said it made me think you meant; "Oghren has a special race, because he has resistance."

I was suprised at the amount of "hidden" dialog sten has, he's the only one who you have to have with you in order to unlock all his dialog. He mentions stuff when you roam that you can bring up later and discuss. I found him as personable as a brick wall the first times around so I didn't bring him along. Was a nice suprise when I found out he had a lot more to say, well for being him anyway.

i once unlocked lines from him when i went in denerim and some in brecilian forest or mage circle dont know which one , on this playtrough i went to Denerim and he does nt seem to say anything about kids this time i wonder why , would it be because it was nt the first time i was going there? same as if you dont go with Alistair in redcliff for the first time you wont know about his bloodline even if you go back there with him untill the landsmeet
so is it the same with Sten ? i did nt played much with him so i did nt tested

I don't really know what triggers the extra dialog. I had him with me from start to finish. And at certain points he'd just point out stuff that you'd be able to discuss later. It's not cutscene related though like the Alistair thing. It's like random banter at certain locations. Outside the chantry in redcliffe is one. And another triggers by doing the mage tower.

yeah i know it does nt trigger cut scenes,he makes comments sometimes , but as i said he did nt said anything in denerim so far so i was wondering if you needed to go to a place for the first time so it triggers it or you can get them to trigger anyways, i guess i ll have to test it myself hehe

Guess it could be approval related. Everything else companion dialog related is...
