I'm totally prepared to insert my foot into my mouth once I play the game - but from my impressions so far - Aveline is by far my least favorite. She's just has way too much with this scary girl who beat me at shotputting in highschool. Although i'm sure her and I would have an awesome time shopping for flannel together and visiting Home Hardware if she were a real person.

Close second is that little dwarf bastard. I'm just not really feeling the love.

Siblings seem to be coolish.
Merril is awesome (and hawt)!!!!!!
Varric is def awesome.
Avaline is ok to moderately cool.
Anders/Vengeance is awesome.
Fenris is pretty cool.

Jacob was a crappy version of Kaiden.

I wasn't thrilled with Anders in DAO and never made it far enough to get Justice... although my plan is to complete DAO before DA2 so we'll see.

Judging by the very, very little I heard and saw? Fenris.

I felt bad about automatically hating Kaiden in ME1 just because he had the same voice actor as Carth. But after a few minutes of listening to him whine, I stopped feeling bad about it.

But yeah, to stay on topic, the one that holds the least interest for me is probably Carver or Fenris. I actually think all the characters sound cool and interesting, but they appeal the least to me, I suppose.

I like Carver because he's so antagonistic. I don't want to have all of my companions skipping through a field, hand-in-hand. Some healthy conflict sounds like fun. As such, I don't have a least favourite. Merrill is probably the companion I know least about, but she seems interesting enough.

I don't really dislike any of the companions, I don't know them well enough yet, however so far I like Fenris and Aveline a little less than the rest.
