[Sora Shepherd]

Carver is by far the dullest character I've seen so far. It's nice that he was at Ostagar, but he hasn't said anything notable beyond that unlike Bethany in conversations. He's the older whinney little brother I never wanted. I rather have Jacob or Carth over Carver now. I'm hoping that changes in the future. Hell, give me Fergus Cousland over Carver.

From the teeny bit I've seen in the demo - Isabela. That could change once I get in game though...otherwise I'm reserving judgment.

As if now, probably Merrill because I didn't really like her in DAO and I will have Anders to do the standard mage duty if I feel I need a mage in my party.

Going by the demo though, I might not like Bethany, the VA was bad inmo and made her reactions seem off.
 
I want to say I won't like Isabella and I probably won't as a full out companion since she's a duelist and as any good backstabber knows, duelist was the WORST backstab spec in DAO, lolz. But, I think she'll have some humerous interactions with party members and with my Hawke, so if she's on my squad, she made it there on personality and lolz alone.

From all of the stuff that has been released so far, I don't like Aveline at all and will probably ditch her the first chance I get. I also don't really like Bethany, but I can actually see her getting better as time goes on(just a feeling I have). Aveline? Not so much. I'm all for strong women in games, but they should be more like Ellen Ripley(whom I've had a crush on my entire life. No joke).

How are people getting the idea that Carver is antagonistic from in the demo? "I'm right here behind you", "I'll keep watch if you need to take a break" don't strike me as antagonistic behavior.

That being said I'm in the 'wait until the game comes out' group. Though the least interesting to me so far is Varric (not to be taken for dislike).

Merrill insofar as she's the only one who I don't really care a whole lot about yet. But I predict her becoming one of my favourite characters once I get to know her. Eve Myles + her spunky voice from her short story = promise. I just think that because she's the only character we've seen absolutely NOTHING of in motion or even good screenshots, it's hard for me to commit to her.

I think the word they're looking for is pesimistic, always looking on the downside and being a stick in the mud. It's fine and dandy to have it ocassionally and witty (like morrigan) but when it's done  too much (or practically everything he says) it just gets annoying.

I didn't think I'd like Aveline but I enjoyed her the little bit I got see her in the demo. Strangely, she's also alot prettier in the game then in the promo pics of her if that makes any difference. But I'm not sure how much I'll use her as I prefer 2H tanks to W/S tanks. So when I'm not a warrier, I see Fenris being my preferred token party warrier. Outside of nightmare I guess, I'm not conviced yet that a 2H wouldn't slaughter their entire party yet, haha.

Wow, this is like picking my least favorite piece of candy.

Well, I'll go with Bethany on this one, she just doesn't seem to quite have the same pizazz that the other party members have(maybe the full game'll prove me wrong). Also, some of her lines in the demo kinda irritated me, like her line "death" scene.

Yeah, I'm just going off what I know so far. I'm fully ready to change my mind after playing the entire game if the situation warrants it. But right now, I just...don't like her. Way too stoic, I guess.
