My least favorite companion, of all time, is Carth Onasi.

Same here, and Kaidan always ended up as a pile of dust...

With DA2 it looks like Aveline will be my least favourite companion - not very far behind 'Miss Piercing' Isabella. Normally i like rogues a lot, but i think she'll get on my nerves...

I don't have a least favourite yet, since I haven't had the chance to interact with any of them much except Anders, and I liked him OK in Awakening. I do find my eyes rolling whenever I see Isabela's outfit, but I'm trying not to hold that against her.

All of the above.

So you hate everyone?

Pretty much yeah. I don't see any companions I think I'd be interested in.

Anders: i just hate everything about him (how he was in awakening anyway)
Merrill: boring
Aveline: masculine woman... no thanks
Varric: boring cliche (compilation of)
Isabella: meh
Fenris: uninteresting, probably going to be the BW recurring whiny character that acts like a victim

We know nothing about most of these companions and TBH nothing about Fenris seems like he is going to be whiny he will probably avoid telling you anything at first atleast. And how the hell are you supposed to know that Merrill is boring!? IMO these companions seem much more interesting than Leliana or Oghren or any of the other companions in DA:O (except for Morrigan probably)

Varric the unreliable narrator. He's steal my role as the storyteller. He uses my story as a tool to mock Cassandra. He mess up my story. He insults my character with god mode. He lies about my face. He kick me out from my immersion. He turns me into the object of story within story. He committed the biggest crime in my RPG gaming experience.

Merrill because I don't like the Dalish. Hopefully Fenris is just an elf and not a Dalish elf, but I'm not sure...

*NEWSFLASH* Fenris isn't Dalish.

Good.  I know he's a former Tevinter slave, but you never know.  Zevran was technically Dalish... but he didn't hate humans and was pretty damn cool.

I think Morrigan was one of the most interesting companions (not necessarily likable), along with Sten and Zevran, and I'd much prefer Oghren over Varric and Leliana over Isabella anyway... who by he way also just seems like a walking compilation of cliches.

As the great Oscar Wilde said, "The only thing worse than being talked about is not being talked about." I thank dear Varric for making the Champion of Kirkwall known to all Thedas!

Also, check out that crossbow. It's a killing machine.

Actually, the sibling, both of them. There's no interesting dynamic, even though they're related to me. On top of that, my character won't be finding out anything "new" about them, since they grew up together. I was actually happy to see Carver leaned towards "rival" in my playthrough of the demo. I thought: Cool! You're not as boring as I thought! I wanted to see something cool come of that rivalry. *playing mage*

I don't really dislike anything from anyone yet.

But I do feel completely indifferent to Merrill. Maybe that'll change once she actually gets some more coverage from Bioware, but as of now, she's the most uninteresting to me.

The only thing worse than not being talked about is talking about a fairy tales. I don't want to become a legend. I want to be accurate historical figure who people can remember  base on my actual biography and not some folks telling people that I breath fire through my arse.

But different people has different taste.

well as said we know really nothing of our companions yet so this is just a guess, but I will say Anders.

Because he seems to be some sort of ticking bomb now a days.... plus I always find it kinda creepy when adults are overly obsessive in their pets, especially in their cats. (please don't hate me all cat people out there)

Quick question? Is Aveline the only available S/S tank?

And can 2H Warriors can tank effectively?

Carver, but as long as you're not a mage he'll get a date with a Ogre, so that takes care of that.

@The Minority: I'm trying to improve my English. Please tell me, what does "arling" mean?

Thx

I like them all. I've ever only disliked one character, ever.
And we don't talk about that.

Based on first impressions (ie. not anything very solid)?

Fenris. Looks like a typical JRPG/animu jackass to me. Very likely will prove better than my first impression tho, but for now he seems very lame to me.
