..I'm really nervous about the ending. All of the reviews are stating that the ending is unsatisfying.
I'm afraid we're going to have *gasp* (dare I say?) a cliffhanger.Image IPB

The best thing that I can hope for is that the ending doesn't go into DA3 and that there will be an expansion to DA2 like Awakenings. Ohh pretty please.Image IPB

 It's not that bad

Just no where near as epic as Origins.

Didn't they say they weren't doing expansion packs for this game?

Meh, endings can be overdone too. Crysis should have ended with the nuke going off. Instead we were forced into a meaningless "Epic Boss Battle" just because developers believe that we absolutely must have closure in a story. I disagree with that. I'm more than happy for a tale to leave things unresolved; if anything it maintains my intellectual investment in a series.

Cliffhanger ending was already predicted. These days it's the latest fad in storytelling. Everything has to have a cliffhanger. They need to learn from Babylon 5.

They might be right or they might just be bashing on the ending because it doesn't involve sticking a sword through an archdemon's head or something similarly "epic". I'll wait to see for myself.

I wouldn't mind a cliffhanger as long as it deosnt' go into DA3. I want Dragon Age 3 to have it's own unique story.

To all those people hoping for DLC; you're making EA execs cream their pants.

This.

EA is getting more and more control over Bioware, so yes there will be several dozens more DLC and expansions. Not to mention, I wouldn't be surprised if they'd make the ending a cliffhanger to make most people feel inclined to buy DA3 (or expansion).

Yeah they did.  I don't remember where the quote was but they said they were going to move away from full expansions and instead do more "episodic" content.

Cliffhanger, epilogue...something else? Who knows atm, guess we'll find out soon enough why they're saying it.

Does anyone found it a bit outrageous that that they sell us half the game for the prize of full and the other half in DLCs

From whence this story of cliffhangers being "bad" in absolute has taken root? If nothing else most of the writings of Poe and Lovecraft are full of them, and actually it's one of their strong points. In more modern times the same has been done extensively by Ellroy and Ellis, for example.
