The Recent Activity page seems bugged but there is there some way anyway to not show certain stuff or just show friends like it's supposed to? I keep getting bad spoilers...

The same happened on my end, I'm afraid.
Luckily I discovered that we can adjust the activity filters for the feed, so I ticked everything off.
Of course, it was too late by then, the damage had already been done.
At any rate, the same still happens in the "Recent Forum Posts" section.
Some people insist on using spoiler-hinting names for their topics, for whatever reason, bah.
