Not just that. DirectX 11 has cloud shadows, tesselation and better light effects from spells. We'll know more once the blog entry about DirectX 11 is posted.

Sigh

Was pretty sure this was so.

My pappy has windows 7, but nit as good of hardware, my gaming rig has much better hardware but only xp.

Looks like this game is going to cost $60 plus $120 to play at best visual content ....

Ain't it always the way...

It is a shame Bioware does not use opengl anymore for their games. With it, you could have had maximum graphics on any os: windows xp, vista, 7, linux, macos, freebsd.

There doesn't seem to be a texture difference between the medium and high settings. The medium setting seems to have pretty decent textures, at least compared to Origins. Can't speak for very high because my hardware doesn't support full DirectX 11, just DX 10.

Ive seen many screenshots that compare dx9 and dx11 but if you never had seen them you wont notice the difference.
Its not worth buying Hard/Software to get better graphics.

I got a GForce 8800GTX and never had much problems in games.
In GTA IV you cant get the Full Details because of the lack of videomemory (only 768 on thiis card) but it doesnt matter in many other games.

I cant get rid of the feeling that something is going completely wrong with the Cardmanufacturers/Gamecreators/Gamers. Especially when i hear scentences like '... ultrarealistic graphics ...' or '... superfast graphicscard for more fun in games ...' bla and so on.
I can remember 'they' said exactly the same about Unreal and Half-Life. The same things later at MDK, Jade Empire, etc. Isnt is a bit strange that the best games got a 'not-so-realistic'-graphic? I play NWN2 much more likely than DA2.
And i got a bad feeling about ME3.

What i will say with this is, they should work on the game itself more the next time than on the eyecandy-stuff!
