Also, I love the picture of Shepard in a moment of what seems to be introspection or a deep emotional conflict. I wish the in-game Shepard had some of that quality, instead of being an emotional brick.

How about Shepard looking at his/her ME1 love interest's picture before the mission? Or the talk with Liara in LotSB about how Shepard is handling the pressure?

I want some downloadable pantless armor for Miranda...

Seriously though those are all really good, especially the Garrus one. This guy certainly has talent.

I love the pictures especially the ones with Miranda and Shepard.

If Miranda is in the sequel, this is what I want her to look like. World-weary and downright drained in comparison to her cold, crisp look in ME2. Very nice contrast. Kudos to the creator!

Throwaway moments. I want to see some real conflict in Shepard. Last time I checked, (s)he is a human, not a robot. Even trained soldiers have to deal with the weight of their command.

I saw these awhile ago. Why doesn't Miranda look like that in game?

Those are the two emotional moments that Shepard has in all of ME2. He has one in ME1.

Probably because of this:

Okay, I can sort of understand. I'm a fan of the character, but I wouldn't consider myself a Talimancer. She's not my favorite. That distinction belongs to Legion, Garrus, and Mordin. Would I be considered a Legionmancer, or Garrusmancer? I wouldn't consider myself that, but Tali fans would have every reason to label others in such a way. I just don't see the point, other than to belittle those who like something you don't.

It's interesting how his vision of Mass Effect seems to portray a slightly more worn, used, beat up and dirty version of the galaxy and its inhabitants. Am I just imagining it or does anyone else see that?

Also, I love the picture of Shepard in a moment of what seems to be introspection or a deep emotional conflict. I wish the in-game Shepard had some of that quality, instead of being an emotional brick.

The very goal behind this was to depict Shepard as a leader. To capture him in a moment of decision (so important for ME games) or inside struggle with the consequences of his actions. The empty gaze and dark gloomy room are to emphasize the emotional aspect of it. The blood and wounds are to show that he has been through battles and skirmishes (2nd important thing in ME games). All in all, the whole piece is less effective in terms of action, but leaves the viewer with something to ponder on.

I completely agree. Its amazing how many emotions the artist was able to create in such a simple pose of Shepard. Everything from the deep blue light, the blood on his arm, the scars. I feel like this picture of Shepard truly demonstrates how he/she felt after hearing he was dead for two years. All of these pictures have an almost Blade Runner-eque melancholy feeling to them and it is brilliant.

It's good artwork, but is Miranda supposed to be sick?  She looks like she's suffering froma fever.

I think she's just over whelmed

God that Shepard paired with the Miranda one are unbelievably deep, locked in a struggle to judge the morals of his past decisions and of the upcoming turmoil, Shepard contemplates the calm before the storm in his quarters and whether he has earned the loyalty of his companions. All the meanwhile in the engineering bay, Miranda takes a pause in her daily maintenance duties to think about her future as a Cerberus agent as well as her future with Shepard. Which eventually culminates to the romance scene between the two moments later........absolutely inspiring!!
