I used the respec mod on Sten and now he cant use specializations at all. he is level 12 and doesn't have a point to spend on a specization. I tried respecing again with no luck. I'm not sure when this actually accured, so i cant go back to my saved games. Is there a solution someone might know of? I really wanted to use sten this playthrough.

I am not sure about mods, but sten only gets 1 specialization point and that is at level 14. Game programmed that way, perhaps the mod can't do anything to help you there.

Yes, Sten gets one specialization point at level 14. Look for "two spec sten" on dragonagenexus.com (which seems to be down atm) to be able to specialize him on level 7 AND 14.
