Heylo all, was wondering if anyone could take a look at modding the Arcane Warrior's toggle ability, Combat Magic. As it currently stands, I just find the toggle graphic to look too...shiny, and ghostly. I was curious if something could be done to tone it down a bit?

It just looks way too sparkly and see-through for my tastes, and it kind of annoys me having to keep it toggled on -all- the time. So if someone could look into modding this, as I have no idea how to or even where to begin, I'm sure other Arcane Warrior players would love it too! Thank-you!

Wow.. is that what an Arcane Warrior really has to look to maintain the melee focus? If so I think I'll actually pass on my mage play through for awhile...

Strange, I have found that during cutscenes the graphic looks much better than when in normal play. Normal play, you look like the above screen shots. Cutscenes, like the one shown below, you just look transparent, and less like a glowy ghost.

doesn't do that on my arcane warrior...just adds some sparkly star thingies that highlight her, definetly doesn't change her transparency/alpha

corection: alpha only has that white crap if you have the fade shroud passive, im going to take a look at the script and see if i can fix it...

Okay so Combat Magic DOESN'T make you shiny and transparent then? Unless you have something enabled?

it does by default in game...from what i've seen of the animations -- the animations for the cutscenes are pre-rendered...so you can't use the cut scene animations for in-game animations :(

however, i could change the in-game animation to a glow or something

That would be most neat! Just something a little less...distracting. For instance, the Arcane Warrior's Shield-whatever ability is pretty low-key, as well as a Warrior with Threaten turned on (just some little red floaty dots is what I see, idk about you guys haha).

I just find the current graphic to be a little to...think of it like this, you're inside all day, and you walk outside and ZOMG it's the big bright ball in the sky and it's on a frickin' mission to blind me!

That's how I feel. Blinding. Mission.

>_> <_<

actually it turns out that it may be a bug in the game...sometimes it does the the semi-transparent effect, while others it does the white alpha thing...

Hmm nope, never turned on Rock Armor. Actually ran out of room on the hotbar for it so I was like, meh, I'll be fine without it! =P
