Doesn't Skyrim come out at the end of the damn year? Like 9 months after DA2? In that case compare it to ME3 or something.

And honestly in my opinion I fully expect Skyrim to be the better game, just because I personally feel video game makers should always go forward, a game coming out 9 months after another game should be better because the people making the games(different companies or not doesn't matter) should see what works and doesn't work and make their game accordingly.

Actually TW2 or TW2: AoK is the correct abbreviation. Over on The Witcher forums, CDPR devs abbreviate it TW2. After all the game is called: The Witcher and not just Witcher.

But TW2 is for Two Worlds 2 which came out first, so The Witcher should be W2 instead..

That is a good distinction between the two since Two Worlds II officially uses the "II" opposed to a "2."

I wanted to know what people like more. Idea of  DA 2 or Skyrim. So you can say it is about DA 2. I haven't created a thread about skyrim in DA 2 forum but rather what people thinks about those 2 games. In my opinion it go there or here.

When it comes to art direction, "Skyrim's" developers are trying to fuse fantasy with realism. As an individual who is interested in such a thing, I find the game to be more aesthetically attractive.

When it comes to in-depth storytelling, "Dragon Age: Origin's" writers tried to fuse fantasy with drama. As an individual who reads extensive novels, I find the game to be more intellectually attractive. However, "Dragon Age II's" dialogue options are not written intellectually; thus, the game lacks what its predecessor was able to capitalize upon.

"Skyrim" is going to have a beginning, middle, and end.
"Dragon Age II" is going to have a beginning, middle, but no end.

Do I chose the one I find to be aesthetically attractive and has an ending, or do I chose the one that looks like stylized art and has no ending?

My personal choice is clear. I will wait until "Skyrim" comes out. "Skyrim" is going to be larger, realistic, and 100% there upon purchase. No DLC required. I will have a larger game with awesome graphics, large open options to choose from, and all for the price of the smaller and open ended game called "Dragon Age II".

That's not the reason why this topic WILL be locked.  The reason it's going to be locked for sure, is because Bioware and Bethesda are competing companies, if I'm not mistaken?  What company would want another company's game discussed on their website.  Also, this isn't necessarily "On Topic" since it discusses two different things in the title alone.  You would have been better off posting this in the Off Topic forum, just sayin'

They haven't yet so there is no problem. I love those flame wars. But it wasn't my intention of creating this topic only wanted to know what are people opinion on both games. I am going to buy both games but I really to talk about it. DA is more about party managment and Skyrim is more both superb hero style; I always prefered the skyrim style games but like DA too.

I´m a huge fan of free-roam worlds... so Skyrim.
Besides, the demo of Dragon Age 2 disappointed me greatly. my hopes arent exactly maxed for DA 2.

If I want a streamlined experience, with all the 'fat' cut out, and where awesomeness happens when I press a button, I go to DA2.

If I want a deep and engaging RPG, I go to Skyrim.

Considering all I've seen from Skyrim is that it's just a pretty Oblivion... Dragon Age 2 by far.
Don't get me wrong, I liked Oblivion it's just that it got boring so damn quickly. 

My opinion may change later. But for now Dragon Age 2 is definitely my favorite upcoming RPG.

We have been waiting for Skyrim for cca 5 years now..? The trailer doesn't look interesting but I loved Morrowind and Oblivion and I'm gonna try this one too.
DA: Origins totally locked my mind when I first played it. I don't think DA2 will be as "glorious" as Origins, but I can't wait for it to come out.
