Varric claims he starts the tale with the "Legend" of Hawke, therefor it is safe to assume that that's his "champion" armor.

You get it once you get to kirkwall, save charlie, and find Candy Mountain. Once you get to the mythical Candy Mountain you find out that it happens to be the "hidden" lair of the evil underpants gnomes. After wading knee deep in gnome limbs, you find out that they were hired by the tellitubbies. You goto tubby land and figure out after some "gentle" questioning that that baby in the sun has your legendary armor. You have to kill him...her....i dunno it changes.
Are you joking? Way to linear for me, ima go cancel my pre order and make a thread about it.

2. It could just be a promotional outfit like the special armor the Warden wore in the Dragon Age Origin's videos.
3. That armor of Hawke's looks more barbaric than noble.

Hasn't at least 1 of the demos featured Hawke wearing it outside of the opening.LilyasAvalon wrote...

..besdies...wasn't that armour only for the mage? So if you were rogue or warrior...it would look different?

This one is actually in the game right when you start a character. The model is there.

Warrior and rogues also have their own 'special' champion armour.Icinix wrote...
..didn't the devs say that the armour was definitely in the game?

And so far, people who have finished have sped through it, but I highly doubt this armour is just sitting in some random corner in a small side quest.
