The only problem I have with the female running animation is that it's choppy and looks unnatural with how the weapon on her back doesn't move the same way.
The way a female protagonist runs.

1: you'll break a leg or fall all the time.

News flash Ladyhawk is a bunch of number in a computer.

We are not talking about any people we are talking about a character in a computer game. I do not give a rat how anyone runs in real life, ladyhawk runs wierd and thats all that matter.
I've seen plenty of women run like Femhawke

A character in a game who some women actually do run like. So when someone says, lady Hawke runs like John Wayne and stands around like a ****, that's probably a bit offensive to those women who also "run like John Wayne" and "stand around like a ****."

Ok, I now officially hate every one on this thread. Not really, but there were so many negative comments about the female Hawke walk/run animations, I had to go through the demo again with a female character just to see what all the fuss was about.
And I have to agree with the criticisms; she DOES jog like John Wayne (kept expecting her to say, "Hey Pilgrim") and she does bob her head as if she is having some sort of spasm. Thing is, I never noticed this until YOU people pointed it out - now, I cannot help but notice it between every battle sequence!

Now tone is hard to communicate on the forums, and my tongue is firmly in my cheek with the above observations/opinions - and I still think this game will be incredible - but "what is seen cannot be unseen..."
I think its time for some scotch, a cuban cigar and a Baywatch marathon to get the image out of my mind... :-)

The reason why I mentioned it here was that for a while I thought I was experiencing some bug with the demo since no one else seemed to have noticed a pretty visible issue and was instead focusing on things like 'hips swaying too much for the hip size' and other such details.

I did a headdesk. My head literally hit my desk after hearing that. So wrong...
I'm too busy keeping an eye on the health meters to pay attention to how characters run, so it doesn't matter to me.

I noticed the wiggle run right away. I had a friend in high school who ran like that and it was one little quirk I loved and envied about her. I'm glad I get to play a character who maintains that fun little aspect of femininity. Hips don't lie! We all just WISH we moved like that!

You might, I'd prefer to run in a way that gets me where I"m going, instead of is likely to make me fall over and flail around. But, ya know.
I'd love at least for the option in game to not run in a way that's clearly designed for guys to look at instead of for women to play. I get it, we aren't the target demographic, but does everything about the characters have to say that?

Swaying hips while walking I have no problem with, but that run just looks unnatural, to the point where it's so silly looking it's distracting, like she's power walking but the bounce implies a run which you'd probably hurt yourself trying to run like that.
One of the earlier posters said it may be fixed in the newer builds and I hope so. Other wise I'll have to wait for freaking mod to fix it before I play LadyHawke.

I can handle the walk.
