Or am I the only one?
Anyone here just indifferent about the changes, i.e. just knows he/she will have fun so it is irrelevant?

I'm waiting to see what the game gives me on it's own merits.

I'm with you as well. It's a shame we can't have separate forums: one for those outraged by the changes to their beloved IP and one for those who are really stocked for the release.
The only reason I'd like that is that you can always count on someone coming into a positive thread and ruining the atmosphere.

People focus on too many little things and they forget (at least I hope) that they play for fun and that is all...

I like some changes. I don't like other changes. only playeed the demo and arent arrrogant enough to form a definate verdict on the game. trust bioware to make a good game as I have enjoyed every single one thus far

You cant do that !
You need to judge, you need moan and ****. You need to make your voice heard over the peasants! You take every scrap of information and you dissect it till it doesn't mean anything or that you lost track of time.
You compare everything to everything. Your word is law. You cant wait to actually play the game, god no, you aren't here for that, you are here to spread the good word to those heathens!

I'm indifferent to some of the changes and happy about others. I genuinely like having a voiced character that manages to display emotional responses, and I'm looking forward to seeing what else the game has to offer. Besides, I don't play this game for the interface; I play it for the story.

Same, there's minor things I could take issue with.
But they are so minor they don't ruin the big picture. Honestly, I couldn't care less about how dialog choices are presented, what matters is how they are played out and how the voice actor presents the lines.

I'm with you, I tend to play a game my way which is mainly for fun. I'd prefer to make my own mind up about it and not be swayed by what other people think or say.

I loved DA:O (actually I still do), I enjoyed the demo for DA2 (improved combat) and I'm still looking forward to playing the game despite the whining that has descended onto the forum.
Roll on the 11th so I can play the game.

I'm not judging the game until *I* play it - not on other people's opinions.

indifferent about the changes. worried about other stuff, eg general intro/plot/narrative and lack of NPCs in Kirkwall.

:waves a sign around: Hear hear!
I try not to dissect my games before I actually get a chance to play all the way through. Or at least most of the way through. I just want to have fun and enjoy the story. As long as the combat isn't totally borked (and it doesn't seem that way in the demo), I'm pretty sure I'll have fun. The 8th cannot get here soon enough for me.

All i want is a Great Story... if bioware delivers than I'm good

As long as I get my story, my immersive world full of lore and well-thought out characters, I know I'll be happy. So I pretty much already know I'll be happy because I believe that while Bioware can botch animations, have lackluster UIs or some less than perfect cutscenes, Bioware can still deliver where it counts (for me).

actually, from what ive seen in the demo, i really like it. didn't lose its tactial and deep gameplay but sped it up alot to make it more fun.which is great.
a big problem i had with DA:O is the only origin i felt actually had real motivations to do all that was the human noble, the rest felt completely disconnected from the rest of the game. so having a protagonist who's deeply involved in the story is well worth the cost of alittle more customization. so it felt kinda weird playing a dwarf commoner rogue when their entire opening was about how they're a shady street thug, then all of a sudden im a selfless hero? what?

Hey as long as the ENTIRE game doesn't take place in the fade, I'm happy.

I won't make up my mind one way or the other until I actually play the full game. As long as it's still fun I'll be happy.

I don't know if I'm really unobservant or just easily pleased but I read half the threads picking apart DA2 things and go - huh really? I didn't even notice that ...
My laptop is under min spec so I'm just glad I can actually play DA2 let alone obsess over DX11 or shabby textures etc etc (I played AC2 on my laptop literally at half the speed it should play at - I can put up with some plain landscapes lol)
I'm going to play DA2 for the same reason I played DA:O - the story and the characters. The improved combat and other changes are just sweet sweet bonuses
