Anyone here just indifferent about the changes, i.e. just knows he/she will have fun so it is irrelevant?

I am pretty happy with the changes I have seen. I loved DA:O but combat wasn't that great. Now the combat seems really visceral and responsive. Much like ME 2 was a big improvement from ME 1 I think DA:2 will be an improvement over DA:O.

From what I can gather through videos, news and the actual demo, I'm going to thoroughly enjoy the game again and again.

All the changes either improve the game or are better in some ways, worse in others depending on how you look at it.

I played the demo and I liked it. Plus I've played both Mass Effects so the spoken protagonist thing and dialogue wheel isnt new to me.

I like it, and I'm sure I will like it as even though I didnt like Jade Empire that much I still beat it about 3-4 times. Plus I'm liking the way things are playing out in the story. (AKA more then just Darkspawn and blights)

I also find myself being indifferent about most of the changes.  I'm not really excited about the faster combat or dialogue wheel but I don't think they will detract from the game either.  I've enjoyed every Bioware game that I've played, from Baldur's Gate to Mass Effect 2, so I'm sure I'll like this one as well.

Well I had issue with the new ogre, tab key, AoE spell target.

But those are minor problem, I can still have fun.

Same exact problems. Although I hear the last two are actually fixed in the release, just not in the demo.

Two years ago I robbed myself of enjoying games. I actively searched for faults/bugs/differences and moaned about them. Then I asked myself why I cannot enjoy games in the same way I did as a kid. Well the answer was simple: Stop ****ing.
I simply started to play games the way they were and not what my "IKnowEverythingBetterThanTheDevelopers" mindset wanted them to be. Since then I simply engulf myself with the Story/Setting/Atmosphere and enjoyed gaming again without nitpicking about every little thing.

Helped myself tremendously.^^

I almost posted that I know I will have fun, as Bioware has never dissapointed me...

But that would be wrong. KOTOR 2... Oh, what a terrible ending. BUT the game itself is still a bucket of fun. I loved it, I just wished there had been a better ending. Or an expansion. Or a freaking sequel. SOMETHING.

Point is, even though some flaws still stand out years later, I still have had fun playing every Bioware game ever made. And you probably will, too.

Wasnt KOTOR2 Obsidian's doing?

Just a quick note: KOTOR 2 was Obsidian, not BioWare.

I'm indifferent or like most of the changes, except the camera. I didn't expect it to feel as limiting as it did.

I buy BioWare games to see what BioWare does.

I do NOT buy BioWare games because I think it gives me divine right and they therefore must follow my orders from here on out. "Oh, no, don't play with the narrative, gameplay and visual scheme! Everything should be like it was the last time, and if you run into any trouble, we have a mountain of fanfic somewhere in the bowels of the internet that you can peruse at your leisure. Just don't go getting any ideas of your own and we'll get along famously. "

I mean, I get why people are upset, don't get me wrong. People wanted BGIII, and DA seemed right up their alley. But DA needs an identity of its own if it's to flourish beyond a very narrow setlist of things it can and can't do. Why should DA be BG when it can be DA instead?

So things need to be experimented upon, like the artstyle, the combat and the narrative rhythm. Such experiments are necessary, otherwise we'll never know what works. And in that frame of mind, March 8 can't come fast enough.

Ah, you're both correct. And I therefore stand corrected.

Viva la Bioware, I guess!

The final version has a camera that detachs when you're aiming AoE spells, so it should be a bit better than the demo.

Pretty much, yes. As long as I get a good story and an immersive game (which all Bioware titles I own are) i'm happy.

Really I am kinda sad about the changes in the darkspawn and the qunari but other than that, I was impressed by the demo.

The over all feel of the game is better than DA:O. Combat seems less PCish which I like a lot. I also like how it has taken on the feeling of ME2 so I can easily get use to the new menu and convo wheel. Still it keeps much of the DA:O feeling and that you seem to be more interactive with your companions through conversations. Really I could care less, I played DA:O over and over and somehow was never able to be mean yet found the game fun. I have been obsessing over DA2 for the past 4 months and I highly doubt, 250% in fact, that the changes in the game will bother me. Plus I love the princess bride XD

I admit, I have gone over the top due to my feelings towards Dragon Age 2, but that's only 'cause Origins was such an amazing game. I shall give Dragon Age 2 a go, and hope that it will be immersive enough to warrant a purchase.

im also hopeful as ive heard various rumours that the version of the demo we got was six months old and that the final game has had much more put into it/ fleshed out.
