Anyone here just indifferent about the changes, i.e. just knows he/she will have fun so it is irrelevant?

Al hail the mighty Wares of Bio!!!! (that was pretty bad huh?)

Yes, especially since in my MMO days, bio meant bathroom...so Wares of the Bathroom! Image IPB

Yup. My impending praise or harsh judgement is reserved until I've finished the game. :P

Glad to see I am not alone in this sentiment.

I'm indifferent or like most of the changes, except the camera. I didn't expect it to feel as limiting as it did.

The final version has a camera that detachs when you're aiming AoE spells, so it should be a bit better than the demo.

Really? That would be great, but uh, is this info straight from the devs?

For the most part, yes. Gameplay-wise I've never been super picky so long as I could get the hang of the basics relatively quick. Characters/story are more important to me, and from what little we know so far, I haven't seen anything that bothers me in that area. At this point I'm pretty certain I'll enjoy myself.

The demo had changes which I liked and some that I wasn't completely on board with. Regardless, I'm not going to switch to "Doom-sayer" until I play the full game.

So right now I'll grab some popcorn, listen to the looping soundtrack of rainfall and chill :)

It's from PC Gamer UK's podcast. The reviewer explains it at about 33 minutes in.

..That is very good news, then! Then I have virtually no complaints.

Well, no big ones, anyway. Some nitpicks.

There is a huge overreaction on these boards by people that have not even played the game. I am an old school turn based combat rpg player, I've always hated more action based rpgs because tbh I suck at them. But for me there's always casual :).

I enjoyed the demo and am happy to wait until the full game before judging it. I actually like a lot of the changes and am reserving judgement on conversation. I hope that dialog hasn't been cut down too much, but don't mind that you can't have deep and meaningful dialog out in the field. Alistair and his rose have had the ambiance shattered a few times by accidental clicks on him while knee deep in gore.

Anyway you can't please all the people all the time, but as long as there's a good story, good characterisation and casual is finishable by a combat wimp like me I'm happy :)

I'm looking forward to playing this game. Bioware haven't let me down so far and I have faith in them.

I like a lot of the changes, I have some reservations but I'm excited and will hold complete judgement untill I have played it.

It's a very different game but that is just fine with me so long as it is equally awesome or better. I have no trouble believing it meets that goal based on the demo. Man can that rogue move!

@ Lady Niltiak: Agreed. I'm on a second DA:O playthrough and I forgot how obnoxious the Fade was.
