Yeah, I don't get why people felt the dialogue wheel was worse than the list of text choices. If you count the stuff in the investigate part of the wheel then it adds up to be the same amount pretty much.TGFKAMAdmaX wrote...
The demo is great in my opinion. It is mostly a combat simulator however. The combat is almost exactly the same but with quicker/flashier animations. The dialouge wheel has replaced the list of text choices. The wheel provides the same number of options and the list so no worries. And lastly the inventory and half the skill sets are locked.

Yes.
It's that bad.
The flashback sequences were badly written and lacked narrative drive. A Mage is basically incapable of finishing the demo (due to the troll).

The art style change is a really amateurish, ugly design choice. (And that's saying something, considering it's the follow-up to one of the least pretty games in recent memory)
The slow-mo / bullet-time / giant swords / glowing red eyes / Final Fantasy clichés set a land speed record for 'quickest time to wear out their welcome'.
The inventory is locked. (likely to spare us further disappointment) 'Lightning' and 'Earth' spells have been removed. There's less choice right off the bat.
The combat is God of War with WoW hotkeys.

Itemizing grievances is what happens when something's legitimately bad, and you put into words the precise reasons why.
