It's funny because there are no mods.

There will be. Every game gets mods, regardless of a toolset or not.

Sure ME2 got modded, but not with new content. Textures changes and that's pretty much it.

Not talking just BioWare games. Stuff like Oblivion, Morrowing, STALKER, all were modded, new content included.

Didn't they have toolsets released?

You're not helping.

I downloaded the demo on my PS3 for poops, but I found it hard to play. I didn't feel I had a sense of the battlefield, and I was so involved in the dude right in front of me I lost sight of the tactical feeling. I get why some people actually like that, though. To each his own!

Im not giving up hope on them tweaking the toolset to work with DA2, so im sticking with my PC. Even if it isnt, my PC is brand spankin new and has beyond the requirements, so i think it'll be the better choice anyways.

With respect to DA:O, I never could understand why everyone kept "babbling" about how much better the graphics and game were on PC until I actually got it...hence it was like my "playing the game again for the first time" comment.

Actually I take my metaphorical hat off to anyone who sticks to the console version. I tried the 360 demo a few days back and couldn't care too much for it personally. I like the pause and play and controlling party members individually, and I spent way too much time flicking about on the controls when I could have done the same thing with a few mouse clicks. Just my opinion though.

I wish you could mod the PS3, I'll be playing on it... but, I wish I could use player content. You should be able to create sort of a mini PS3 store or something for simple mods and stuff...

Console, it looks better on DA2 than DA:O, you do get used to it. I'm having to wait to get a pc but will play on that when I do. Never played some of the classics like a lot of people have on pc:( but watching on you tube I can understand why It'd be a problem for pc players. Overhead looks cool and feels like more of a cRPG.

possibility of mods + superior graphics and superior interface (keyboard + mouses) means there was never a choice for me.

Never going to prefer the console version in almost any games. I just play exclusives on my PS3. There is no reason to buy the console DA2 if you have a good PC. Its more expensive, less flexible. PC version will always look and play better.

I'm going Xbox 360. Maybe I'll pick up the eventual PC Ultimate edition when it goes on sale sometime down the line.

Felt like it worked better for consoles. Its the same one they used for Origins (which I never tried PC), so i tried PC and have only played the PS3 one multiple times.

What's your opinion?

You are subhuman console scum. The PC Master Race will always be your superiors.  Even a crappy console port is better on PC than on the console it was originally for.

I didn't have an issue what so ever with the controls on the PC. I actually prefer them over DA:O so I'm sticking with PC.

Pc. I'm looking forward to some awesome mods from one of the best modding communities around. The toolset only needs an upgrade or something, so it won't be long untill we get some content.

No, for the reason others have stated before. Mods. I really enjoyed DA:O, but I absolutely LOVED it after Dragon Age Redesigned etc.

We've been told that the toolset used with DA:O will work with DA:2 with a little tweaking. Either bioware will release an update or a modder will. You shouldn't underestimate the modders.

I would prefer PC, but my laptop's graphics card is ... well, not right for the game. The demo was a bit laggy, and cutscenes took longer than usual to load. But all my Origins saves are on here, so maybe I'll eventually get it for the PC.
But for now, I'll stick with the XBox. The gameplay on the console took a little getting used to, especially after playing DA:O on my laptop, but I'll get the hang of it.
