Looking at those screenshots I just realized that this guy's Hawke reminds me of the crazy apostate in the Brecillian Forest.

He might have missed em. I've read somewhere that you loose Fenris once you are going into the Deep Roads expedition...

Edit: did he go into the Deep Roads yet or not?

They're temporary until the deep roads expedition, then they ... do something... Get sick, or tainted, or die... But afterwards they can join the grey wardens, or Bethany can go to the Circle, or Carver can join the Templars.

As for Fenris and Izzy, he has to check his writing desk yet for new quests. They're in there.

He has the quest, he just has to go to the right area to do it.

If you leave them behind and don't take them, they end up in the circle/templars. If you take them they supposedly "die" but later you find out they didn't really and become wardens or something.
