I adore new elven look they are completely unhuman.
They are not a human race, they are different species and now they look accordingly.
They are not LotRO "I can choose am I a human or am I an elf".

Strange, alien, "ugly" for some but, infinitely better and more original than DAOs small humans with rubbery ears.
