It's mostly that he was more lines. That's definitely a mistake.
I wasn't paying that much attention, but he likes "shiny" things because, you know...*
It's kind of awkward. I'm still mostly pleased with the way the game looks.

Ah! Now you at least downgraded it into resentment and not spite and ignorance, wikkedjoker.wikkedjoker wrote...
Maybe he doesn't deserve to die.
And that was my whole point and all I wanted you to think about. However, we'll have to agree to disagree on the rest.
Oh don't get me wrong I don't like him and I honestly believe 'something' bad should happen to him. If you ask me he feels like a trader to his own family. Sure he never turns them in, but is that to spare his mother, is that because he cares, or is that because he's afraid of Hawk?
Truth is we don't know, may never know. But the fact that he would even consider it would seem like a betrayal to his family.
But who knows I could be wrong, maybe he hopes to change the way the Templar's treat mages. Or something like that. Change the system form with in the system wall Hawk just violently destroys it or what ever one decides.

That'd be so epic if we have to possibly fight against them in the end. I might let Carver join the Templars on purpose in my playthrough just to see if that happens. So much drama.Tamyn wrote...
I think you lose them no matter what and they aren't in your party any longer. What I want to see is whether you'd have to fight them at the end depending on what side you're on.
If they get tainted and join the Wardens, would we never see the sibling again in the game? I remember all those earlier demo files that said something like you "didn't hear that Bethany/Carver survived the taint until some time later'. I'm wondering if the only way to keep in contact with them is if they join the Circle/Templars.

This is actually a good question...I don't think we've actually seen Orsino in-game yet, right ? ._.

Again how the people of Kirkwall don't know Hawks a mage is beyond me. HeBatfeets wrote...

Granted I'm not sure if this is true but it seems likely and if hes so easily swayed into becoming a mage hunter can you honestly say it was his own way? Or was it resentment?
If I'm not mistaken, Templars are 1/3 of the parties that power in kirkwall is pulled between. He has no way of joining mages, resentment or not, and the Qun is out. From what I've seen it seems apparent Carver wants power. He wants recognition for once. He wants the ability to well...not rot in a tiny shack on the side of nowhere. Templars are more than mage hunters and have been shown in the past to protect their chantries...they seem like a military/policing force, as well as that. It is his own way, especially if he avoids going after/bringing attention to Hawke, when turning him/her in would actually further his advancement.
fights alongside Cullen and uses magic, and Cullen seems (from the part
of the live stream I watched last night) like he didn't even notice. O.o

I think he turns into the Harvester based on a cutscene I found in the DA2 directory

To you it does, obviously. To me it doesn't. And you're basing these assumptions on what exactly? Nothing that has been shown in game as far as I can see. If he was afraid of Hawke, he'd never would stand up to him/her in such a manner. I can understand disliking a character. What I cannot understand is grapling for anything so it looks like having an actual reason.
The last part of your post would actually be interesting to see in-game.

Yes, you can post spoilers. Keep them in this thread. Just don't post links to livefeeds or discuss passing around links to livefeeds.

To be able to make you hate Carver that much while secretly getting you attached to him in the end and forcing you to go through him with a playthrough later to see what it's like from his point of view...
I love it when writers create char's like that.

Bioware should really add post stickes in topics, so that the moderators could highlight important posts at the top of everypage in that topic..
And indeed, no asking for links nor pm's...
