Merrill lacks the creation tree...meaning she is all about being a damage dealer....
Anders lacks the 'entropic' tree...which makes sense since he was mostly a healer in awakening.
bethany lacks the primal tree...but while she is around, you can give her the creation tree spells so she can hell n deal damage.
