Meredith being an abomination may also be what sparks the whole worldwide revolution thing. It breaks the mold so to say.
More precisely, it renders the whole "templars need to protect mages" thing completely useless. Now all Circle mages have to fear that their Templar guardians are abominations trying to slowly convert them.

Where Alistair at.
Probably not connected to a quest, so he can't be found. Gamestar said he had 1-2 mins of dialogue total.
Aww, that's IT?! Well he better give a shout out about his lovely Queen, the freaking Hero of Ferelden!
I thought you saw him with his drunken wandering ending when he was exiled, no?

Yeah its so awesome. Templars have no excuse for how they treat Mages anymore. None. Every excuse they had is now gone.

I wonder what those mean by siding with them 5 times? Likely the different factions give you tasks and its maybe like New Vegas with NCR vs. The Legion and you can only side with Mages or Templars?
Probadly...or it means you have to side with them in 5 different playthroughs...
I was thinking it meant something like in games where you have multiple choices over the course of the game where what you choose is a point to either faction A or faction B, like in Fable 3, where you constantly have to make either people(good) rulings or Reaver(evil) rulings, and it just has cumulative points which determine your overall siding. For that reason I'm guessing its siding with the Templars on 5 separate quests. Who knows, there could be 10-20 quests/sidequests where you have to choose a benefit for either the mages or the templars. If thats the case, then I say this is an easy achievement for 2 playthroughs
That said, I'm still surprised by all the Chantry hate around here lol. I have an elf mage who I basically developed as an absolute andraste-worshipping, chantry loyalist, and that was a fun playthrough to do

Whaaaat? Meredith being a helldemon or whatever is big news, no doubt, and will definitely shake up local politics, but none of the very good reasons the public had for keeping mages under lock and key will disappear. And we really don't know anything about the nature of Meredith's nonsense aside from the fact that it makes her look goofy. Meredith is a bad egg, but that doesn't change the fact that mages can get all sorts of ludicrously over-powered and vulnerable to possession compared to the populace at large.
This game looks like it's going to be ridiculous. I like that.

I wonder how this is likely to offend your various party members. I mean, Aveline's husband was a Templar, so I doubt she'd be happy you're trying to destroy the Chantry. On the other hand, you have Janders, who despises the Circle and wants to destroy it and hates Templars. And that's just two of them. The potential drama!
Fenris probably would prefer the templars because of his old magister master. Merrill would probably want you to side with mages because she's a blood mage. I'll just max out rivalry on whoever disagrees with me and change their mind.

The thing here is that if poor Joe the Farmer after hearing about this posession starts fearing his chantry neighbours then "Your precious chantry is in ruins" political and social situation becomes quite possible and real. Not even mentioning kings, emperors, nobility and so on who also start viewing chantry as a faling institution clearly not needed anymore.
My money's on that Meredith really is possessed
