I know there is this; Wait and see what your savefile does to the game before jumping to conclusions but, I am not really holding out for much here. I've suddenly gone all pessimistic and that's not me at all =P

I guess it's better to be pessimistic about the game so then I get a wonderful surprise =)

I will however be annoyed if Lel is a Seeker no matter you do.

My first playthrough will be mostly friendship and some rivalry so I can see what to do, then I'll do that playthrough again and decide what NOT to do.

Or do what I did and not recruit her or sten when I left Lothering. They burned with the village ( A mistake I did not make the 2nd time). Its still one of my game saves and I am considering using it to see if it wil have an impact.

Well my first import is with my queen cousland and I know she would sooner die than leave Alistair. The fact  that Hawke dissapears too gives me hope though! I am thinking that they are maybe being taken against their will for some either great and good or evil reasons and that we may find out why in DA3 or further down the line!

Saw some peole weeping on the Anders thread about spoilers, and thought I'd save myself the heartbreak and come check it out.

So sodding glad I did. I'm still catching up with the last few pages, but hot Christ on a ******. This is why I buy strategy guides. I am totally reading that thing, and it is not leaving my side. Holy buckets.

Still a bit shell-shocked. Playing Awakening right now, finishing up my DAO playthroughs. I'm gonna side-eye Anders a bit. Jeebus.

But, really? This is awesome. I like that I'm terrified if I say the wrong thing everyone is gonna stab me in the back. Definitely more epic to me than Origins was.

lol, I am so wih you there! I only came on this thread yesterday and from what I have learned I preordered a statagy guide - something I swore I would never do (wont use i on my first play through but after that it will be invaluable!

Wow....just...eh....wow. I've been reading all this and am DAMN glad I got the heads up I need to very carefully look at the guide I ordered before I do a damn thing in game lol. That's how i kept everyone alive in ME 2 except Jacob in like very play through. Sounds like it's a more extreme version of taht since you can't just force your personality on your companions through persuasion at all.

Luckily my Warden has a ton of internal turmoil (human/elf relations, lover's past relationship with a lookalike, the inevitable Calling) that I can totally see why he would leave. I had originally written him to leave Leliana anyway; I'm just not finalizing anything until I get a better idea of WHEN I disappear.

I told myself I wouldn't read any massive spoilers, but realized it was moot, because I would be tearing through my guide anyway. I practically collect guides, even for games I don't own. Dunno why, but charting my how I want it to go makes a game more fun for me.  But it'll be awesome watching my brother stumble through landmine after landmine.

It's totally amazing. I didn't feel this way about ME2 when it was revealed everyone could die. Possibly because it was so straight-forward you'd have to try to fail to lose many companions. But here... hee!

Most of my Wardens never romanced Leliana, My mage left with Morrigan, and the ones that did have A LOT of reasons to leave her (mainly grey wardening and chantry hate) so I'm all set but am glad about this thread and what is to come.

They're doing it again! Two awesome games where the protagonist wanders off for parts unknown with the promise of the mystery being solved in future installments...it's KOTOR all over again! Darn you Bioware! Were my tears not enough for you the last time? I swear to the lord above if they turn Dragon Age into a MMORPG I will just quit life.
