As we know of, no, not yet. So far, it sounds like you will lose at LEAST 4 of your companions, regardless.Rovay wrote...
So... Is there ANY way of keeping all your companions by the end game?
This blows my plans for Team Harem out of the water now.
Four? Klace lost Isabela, Bethany and Anders. He had Varric, Merrill, Fenris and Aveline

Fenris will quite obviously gain rivalry, keep in mind how he feels about mages. He may even try to leave too, but unlike Seb, can probably be talked out of it.RinjiRenee wrote...
All of them will have their reasons for staying... except Seb, it looks like. It doesn't mention anyone gaining rivalry (besides the obvious Seb) if you choose to keep Anders?

I can understand why Varric stays with you, regardless, but why Aveline?
She has been with you from day 1, and she wouldn't have survived (or get into Kirkwall) if it weren't for Hawke.

Hm, it looks like you have to fight both. Well, the way the guide is worded suggests that you do, though it isn't terribly clear. It does mention that you fight Orsino no matter who you choose to side with. Also, it looks like you can have up to 8 active companions when fighting the last boss. Including NPCs if you do their quests.

And Aveline, Varric, Merrill, Izzy, and I guess your sibling too? I wonder what Carver would think... I think he only ever wanted to be a Templar to ****** your Mage!Hawke off, lol.
Fenris's reasons for hating Mages are personal, not Chantry related, too.

If you side with the mages, Fenris will leave unless you have 100% friendship/rivalry. It looks like you get a second chance to rerecruit him if "you have a solid friendship".

I think that too, especially reading his codex. I guess Anders ends up being THAT guy, huh?RinjiRenee wrote...

And it's already been stated Fenris thinks all mages should be made tranquil. Wouldn't Anders actions only justify that further?

Hehe, that makes me feel a little better. I want my Mage!Hawke to agree with Anders in the end, but then have the crushing realization that Orsino was a corrupt man and maybealmost killed Mama Hawke.
I also hope Anders does some explaining when I walk to up to him and go "What the crap man?!"
Anders> I didn't want you to get hurt.

I disagree.
He wants to find his own way and consequently he joins the Templars. He doesn't have any sort of magical ability so obviously he can't join the Circle nor is he able to simply become a Grey Warden. At least not if he isn't taken to the Deep Roads along wtih Anders.
How else is he supposed to prove himself? Not everything revolves around Hawke.

If he comes to some sort of agreement with you that what Anders did was for the Chantry's own corruption (and there IS corruption in the Chantry, good and evil on both sides really), he might be persuaded otherwise? Chantry is guilty of making Templars their slaves, as well.

Haha, I guess I didn't mean it in that tone. He does want to prove himself, yes. I was just being a little snarky.

Basically, you have Hawke and his 3 party members. The dog counts so you might want to remove him if you want someone else to appear. Then your other companions can show up, there is an order listed, and then there are three NPCs that can join in if you did their quest.
Mind telling us who those NPCs are?

Sorry about that. I actually really look forward to Carver. I'll probably come to love him a lot. He actually reminds me a lot of my younger sister. He might be downright pissed about the Chantry, but can be persuaded to think otherwise.
After hearing all this, I have to congratulate Bioware for making such a tricky situation for us to deal with. They make it so easy to dislike either side of this argument. Do we condemn Anders for what he has done, or do we condone it? There are what we would consider "good people" on either side. For some, what the Chantry condones when it comes to the Mages is downright despicable, and it's really easy to see that. But it's also easy to see how Mages can get out of control, and who protects them?
And if you are torn in the middle... sometimes, someone makes that decision for you. Anders might have Out-Hawked Hawke, so to speak.
