I sent you a message, but I meant to ask you -- you say you saw the chantry explosion video that shows the Grand Cleric and others running away.  Does it seem to imply that they did indeed get away?

Huh, there's option number two. If you don't help him distract the Grand Cleric, they get away. Anders realizes that you were right and he almost did something horrible, asks for forgiveness. Seb will still be mad enough to leave if you do so, just because he tried. The Templar/Mage end game stuff still kicks off because it's still an assassination attempt on the Grand Cleric by a mage.

...I grant you it's not the happiest of endings, but definitely a bit easier to deal with.

Only my incredibly theoretical opinion that only makes any sense if the screens do show the High Cleric escaping, unfortunately. And yeah, even I think I'm being way too optimistic here. I know you can refuse to help him with the potion, OR you can help with the potion but refuse to help him distract the High Cleric, based on what klace played through, but I don't know the definitive outcomes.

EDIT: Extra, not as good option guess: if you choose Rivalry, he still blows up the Chantry but he feels horrible afterwards and realizes you were right. You can choose to forgive him and let him back in, not forgive him and tell him to leave, or REALLY not forgive him and, you know. Death knife.

Isabella is a rogue not just in class. Meril is a rogue mage who is dangerous with her artefacts. I want no mages in my party.

They were running towards the back of the Chantry, the Grand Cleric was up in a balcony. Is there a rear entrance too? If not...then.....

The guide is out on the same day as the game, so if you're picking it up locally, you should be able to snag a copy at the same time. I don't think they have an e-book version, alas. Amazon.com has it, but you'll have to wait for shipping.
