The pre-orders for the game just skyrocketed as soon as the spoilers hit the net.Looks like the spoilers did more for the sales rather than the show off of the gameplay for which the demo was obviously intended.

Where are you finding the numbers?  I'd love to see them, just out of curiosity.

I don't have any concrete numbers as such but Dragon Age 2 just jumped to the no.1 position on the Steam Top Sellers chart and I'm guessing the spoilers had something to do with it;)

The chart always reset at the beginning of the week, so the jump could be much smaller than it may seem.

I think there were some screenies showing possibilties of having your sibling becoming a Warden

Right but that (presumably) was because they were infected while killing darkspawn....hence no need for the vial?

Edit...Or do they still have to drink it? I guess that makes sense....

The blood that the Wardens drink at the Joining contains Archdemon blood, and has probably been seriously magicked (mages are required for some reason in this process).  The Wardens' vial necklaces are supposed to have "some of the blood we took at the Joining", so in theory? one of those would have the correct properties.  Just Darkspawn blood won't do it, though.

ERm...Meredith cannot be an abomination.

An abomination is a possessed MAGE. Meredith isn't a mage.

Or maybe she is?

So we know about Meredith, but what about Orsino? Has anyone tried him out in the console?

What's sad is that by the time some of you actually reach your first playthrough of the game, you'll know so much it'll be like your second playthrough-- and then you'll wonder why nothing seems new or surprising, I suppose.

Ah, well. The thread is clearly marked spoilers, so knock yourselves out, I guess.

Some of the assumptions regarding what your found are rather amusing to read, anyhow. Image IPB

The thread has slowed down a little, but there's still plenty to find. For instance, would you enjoy having a FULLY VOICED conversation with your mother? Think carefully, then check out:

Subtitles are barely readable, but my upload is extremely bad. Extremely.

Hey, I knew basicly everything in DA:O before I played it but I never once compalined about nothing being new or surprising. Then again, I find origiality highly overrated and whats claimed original is almost always nothing new and only claimed so out of ignorance.

Also, me = metagame hardcore. lol

I'm a terrible person. My love of spoilers drives my friends crazy and they seriously question how I can enjoy any game, movie, or book that I spoil. You know, I'm that guy that constantly reads the end of the book first. LOL But as I tell them, I NEED MOAR! :D

Heh, well I know all it's done is made me more excited about the game. Knowing some of this stuff, I'm dying to actually see it.

Besides, atm it's like reading every 3rd page of a book. There's a lot of gaps only the game can fill.

It was mentioned in a video I saw that it was a plot point whether or not your sibling goes with you to the Deep Roads. Perhaps Carver/Bethany joins or is forced to join the Circle or the Templars if you don't take them with you to the Deep Roads?

take them to the deep roads = grey wardens

leave them = templars or circle mage

This all but gurantees...I take Bethany with me EVERYTIME to the Deep Roads.

Mage Playthrough... Leaving Carver's behind at home...

So, if I understood the posts here correctly: bethany at home = forced to join the circle, deep roads expedition = forced grey warden ( I imagine something happens to her in both cases, I doubt she willingly becomes a grey warden ).

None of the options seem particularly swell to me, but I think forced to become a grey warden is worse. Not sure if it's a good idea to do this if you LIKE Bethany: being forced to fight darkspawn, the calling etc. don't sound very nice. At least as a Circle Mage she'll have an easier death I imagine.
