We don't know if they join us as companions. If this is the case, I think that they are the SC indeed. And I'd love this.

You do get vials of blood whenever you kill Darkspawn.

That's why you ran into so many problems.  

Certain characters are better off as rivals.

I am going to have an inappropriate amount of playthroughs, just finding out all the differences in rivalry/friendship. It's gonna be fun either way.

And I thought that the Templar only joined the Wardens because the Chantry was making a big stink out of Anders, so the Wardens took one Templar as a Warden to watch Anders, so to speak. A Compromise, if you will. Either that or I was reading something entirely different >.>.
