I am going to have an inappropriate amount of playthroughs, just finding out all the differences in rivalry/friendship. It's gonna be fun either way.
And I thought that the Templar only joined the Wardens because the Chantry was making a big stink out of Anders, so the Wardens took one Templar as a Warden to watch Anders, so to speak. A Compromise, if you will. Either that or I was reading something entirely different >.>.

Klace! If I can ask, at waht level of friendship/rivarly you were with the companions?
All friendly. Just not ENOUGH to prevent some things I suppose.
Ah, so they weren't at 100%? Good to know.
You, Naitaka and Vanallen are my heroes in this day
No, that'll take too long.Aesieru wrote...

Yeah, the guide and I think Gaider implied full Rivalry or Friendship was important. How important, I dunno. I'll be reading the Companions part of the guide like crazy while the game loads, I think. I'm curious as to how a Rivalmance is different than one based in Friendship, too. Do you just flirt with them and they get over the fact you oppose crucial goals to them? Seems too easy, but who knows.

Vanallen said that you have to do certain quest, and he will return in the final act and joins you (I don't know if as a companion). Maybe if you do certain quest Carver and Beth can join you even in they remain in Kirkwall.
Just like in Awakenings, which I hated because I basically had to metagame or cheat to get them to the high level needed for them to survive.arsonic wrote...

Alright, I don't feel like reading through 200+ pages of this thread, so can someone tell me(with possible confirmation) If ALL the LI's in DA2 or Bisexual?

Well, as we should all know, if you
don't take your sibling with you to the Deep Roads, they leave the group
(Carver to Templars and Bethany to the Circle). If you take them, they
get tainted and die. However, if Anders is with your party, you get the
option to have them become Grey Wardens. Your sibling then leaves the
group. The guide then lists a series of quests that you need to do by
the end of the game. If you do them, your sibling will be there at the
start of the final act and you can have them join you again.

I really, really think they should have re-thought the whole "Friendship/Rivalry" titles.
They should have named them "Agreeing With What They Say" and "Sticking To Your Own Beliefs".
Rivalry does not necessarily mean hatred. It can foster admiration. A rivalry romance with Fenris, say, means that you are staying with your ideals that he shouldn't be a dbag. And through your adamant stance, he comes to respect and care for you. Maybe even change his ways.
Labeling such things as "rivalry" may scare off a lot of people and cause them to change the way they play because of misconceptions.

I'm just curious how does a mage Hawke/Fenris LI relationship work if Fenris HATES mages?
