Even so, not many people would want to join the grey wardens willingly. Duncan explained why. Even the noble human's father never wanted him to be forced to fight darkspawn, even without knowing about the joining and the calling. Sure it's an honor but it's also about sacrifice; Wynne can straight-up tell you that you'll never lead a normal life as a Grey Warden. Unless you're willing to sacrifice yourself, why would you want to become a grey warden, knowing the risks? Don't think Bethany would appreciate it if that decision was practically made for her, like it so often seems to be the case for grey warden recruits, like it was in the case of the warden when he basically had to choose between dying or getting recruited.
At least we can hope you'll be able to pwn the chantry and free the mages, like so many people WANT. Maybe there's a chance in that for actually letting your sister choose how to lead her own life.
