It's an easy way to fund your expedition. But apparently he wants more and more money and he has ambushed me at the start of act 2 demanding it.

I have a question, Klace, waht is the name of the quest to find Stroud?
Doesn't have a name. It just starts an encounter in the Deep Roads with Darkspawn then there's a cutscene.

YAY CARVER. Now do all of those quests to get him to return!
Maybe those Grey Warden related quests will also give a nod to our Warden from DA:O?

I didn't help her in act 1 to do the Hayder quest. Now she's not in my party.

Thanks.
Anyway, I hope that you find Nate in the Act 2. Do you have him alive in the DAA import?

Wait, but I thought Nathaniel was the one responsible for ensuring Carver/Bethany's survival? Is it Anders or Nathaniel? If it's Nathaniel, we need an Awakening file to transfer, right?
Seems to be Anders.
I vaguely recall a screen from the demo that showed the Nathaniel quest in the Journal, and it looked standalone to me. I think Delilah Howe is looking for him, so maybe you get a letter or something if you played Awakening.

Can anyone confirm the timeline when you get Anders? If it's within the first act wouldn't that screw the timeline of DA:O/A? After all the blight needs to be over and the Mother needs to be dead before Anders can become jaded enough to flee.
DA2 makes DA:O seem positively warm and fuzzy by comparison.
I CAN'T WAIT!

Yes, I remember reading that somewhere and the same goes for Anders, I believe. I can't find the source right now, though.

Yeah, Laidlaw said that there would be a point-of-no-return thing for the companion quests at some point. I'm guessing that's the end of Act 1.

huh, well that is what we were asking for. They are not pushing the companions on us, there are consequences to our actions, and we have an advancing timeline. The World doesn't wait for us.
God i can't wait to play.

Anders you need for the deep roads map, I thought Fenris and Isabela were both optional.

so isabela leaves like the coward she is. I will hunt her down, for betraying me.
Not at all. She, like Fenris, is an optional companion, if you don't recruit them in the Act 1 you can't recruit them, or so I undertand.

I read it about Isabela and it's in the guide preview that Fenris is optional. Anders I'm not so sure about- don't you need his maps to get to the Deep Roads for the expedition? Unless you can get the maps and tell him you don't want him to come along.

It could be that I mixed them up, I apologise.
Though, I've seen gameplay where Anders isn't taken along to the Deep Roads, but it could be that he is recruited nonetheless and the player simply chose to not take him along for this particular quest.
