No because Leanda is still alone when she is kidnapped.
The sibling will be gone to the Templars/Circle and unable to help her if you dont take them.

Imagine what it would be like for the vast majority of players that don't follow all these spoilers and aren't prepared for it at all. They buy their extra character and then all of the sudden he leaves. HE LEAVES!!

Shale was the same way. And you don't have to buy him. I'm pretty sure he's gonna be boring. Follow your heart, though.

It's no different than how Shale will leave you if you bring her in your party and do that thing she SERIOUSLY disapproves of.

I'm glad there is all this drama. It all seems very realistic in a sense. Where things aren't -always- right and you -always- can't save everyone. It's ;life. It makes the story more enriching, but thats my opinion so. *shrug*

You could lose Shale if you side with Branka and have Shale in the party at the time.

Also... I could point towards Zaeed and Kasumi in Mass Effect 2. Losing a DLC companion isn't a new thing coming with Sebastian...

Getting to romance a DLC character in a Bioware game is though

All hail King Sebastian and Viscountess Hawke... long may they rule their respective states of the Free Marches well... until Hawke disappears... :/

It happens no matter what.  She turns on you.

Yes. It seems that both Orsino and Meredith are enemies at the end.

From what I gather, we'll have to kill both Meredith AND Orsino no matter who we side with. With the one we side with going all paranoid and believing we are too big a threat to their grandiose power trip.

As I said earlier in this topic, quoting a certain evil Chancellor..

"All those who gain power are afraid to lose it, even the <insert faction here>!"

One thing that does have me a bit intrigued though, I've read there is an achievement for killing Meredith, but if you side with the Mages, am going to assume she is killed before Orsino, so how come there isn't one for Orsino as well? Or is there and I just not seen it on any site yet?

Ahhhhhhhh. Nice.

But I guess what I'm really asking is: Can we side with Sebastian AND save the mages? Like, I can condemn Anders for his actions but honor his will by trying to make life better for the mages?
