Is there anything in the game that indicate that you're in a romance with someone?  I think at this point all you can do is try and continue to pursue it.  Even the guide says that romance happens at 100 rivalry.

And... what??? If you do his quest, you get friendly points? Obviously this retracts from your rivalry, right? Or can you have both?

Coz it's sounding to me like if you do his quest, you won't be in rivalry.

The problem for me is that they talked about the importance of family. But so far it seems that Leandra will die during Act 2 (lot of hours with her probably, but I don't see the reason to kill her) and the sibling will be absent in Act 2 and could return at the end of Act 3. I don't see the reason to focus the importance of family if I start the Act 3 without any member of my family (aside uncle )

Bioware just wants to teach us an important lesson: Never be happy, for your loved ones will die horribly later on.

I think I'm starting to see why Hawke has vanished by the time Cassandra starts looking.  Half of your friends/loved ones die and the other half betray you and slip into sociopathy, apparently.  Hawke obviously threw her hands up at this point, said "Screw you guys, I'm done" and has returned to Ferelden to be a farmer.

Hmm im confused now the quest to turn your siblings into grey wardens is it tied to anders or the whole nathanial/awakening thing?

Well if everyone is going to be leaving me, then hell yeah I'm going to be returning to Ferelden to farm. Maybe I'll take my possibly surviving sibling with me, and we can wallow in discontempt at our failure.

EDIT: What epilogue do you have to have in Awakening in order for Nathaniel to turn your sibling into a Grey Warden.

Anders in your party in the Deep Roads. But it's a forced companion, so to go forward your main quest you have to recruit him.

This game is sounding soo depressing. Either people die, or they turn on you, or they abandon you. Hopefully, the lighthearted/droolworthy moments will counteract that.

Or maybe it's just that the info I'm getting from here is being tainted from my state of unhappiness due to not having the game in my hands...

Well, Hawke and the Warden disappear around the same time, right? Maybe BOTH of them just said screw it and now they're off killing things and disappearing into tents together. And probably inviting Zev along.

Doing his quest will not get necessarily friend points. Depending on the choices you do, you can gain rivarly or friendship point. You have to follow a path: agree with their objective and help him, or disagreeing and try to make him step down his objecitve. The same for the other companions

I agree. This whole 'rivalry' and 'friendship' thing is starting to sound more and more like the Paragon-Renegade options from ME2. And I mean ME2, where it doesn't matter how often you choose one, it's the percent you did over what you could have done that determines the outcomes.

Gah, I hope I'm just overthinking it. Because that would just... suck.

What would also suck is if, by having a rivalry with someone, it means you can't do any quests for them. Because if completeing quests = friendship points, well, sorry guys! Screw your problems--I'm saving you by ignoring you!
