About Anders, his actions can't be defined good. He wanted to start a revolution, and while he doesn't seem to have remorse, he was fullly aware fo what he did. I'll choose what to do with him when I played that scene.
In my opinion Anders is what the life made. The templars and the Chantry, with their politic about mages, shaped him as much as Vengeance. This don't justify what he did, though. A revolution is neeeded. Sadly that it has to start with this action
So far Anders is the companions I love more and hat more.

The vid that Klace posted (and which had gotten him banned) showed, while picking who to side with, that there was a middle option saying that you won't pick a side. I am so doing that...then I'll murder knife AndersBigdoser wrote...
Well from reading all the spoilers you can't be neutral you have to pick a side.

Goddammit, Anders.
Going back to the beginning, where Cassandra first starts interrogating Varric, and he says "The world is on the brink of war, and you need the one person who can put it all back together." Well, I don't see how the Champion can fix this one.

If you are 100% friendly or rival with Anders, Can you convince him not to do it?. Is there a way out of the massacre?
Based on the video, I don't think so. You can choose not to help him with his potion, but I think either way he figures it out. And I think he'd do it whether or not your best friends or he hates you but respects you... He's in it for himself.. He has a very poorly thought out plan...
I can see it when he comes up to me and says Oh please help me with this potion, it will help Justice to be free from my body.. I'm going to think "You lying, backstabbing piece of crap! How DARE you try to sweet talk me when you know exactly what it is you're doing! ARGH!!!" There will be so much rage in my head.

I think it's pure desperation on Cassandra's part. Or she figures 'Hey! This guy was here! Let's get him to fix it! *GRAB*'. I'm sure she would've probably hired the local janitor to fix it all if he was there and saw everything unfold and happen.namedforthemoon wrote...

You REALLY think Fenris would've said anything? xDnamedforthemoon wrote...
Is the only reason Fenris stayed behind because he's the one that Hawke romanced? If he stayed behind in Kirkwall, how come Cass doesn't interrogate him?
This IS out stoic elf with the woobie eyes that goes as monoton as ever: 'Poke.' when you click on him during gameplay.

Understand, I'm speaking as an Anders fan and my heart is breaking at seeing this. But just because I love a character doesn't mean I can forgive him everything. It really sucks because I wanted my party to be Sebastien, Anders, and Fenris. Now there's no chance of that. And seriously, I agree with someone else on the males this time around. Fenris is sexy, but really broody, and Anders is filled with Vengeance and he's going to betray you (whether you agree with him or not, he doesn't tell you that's what he's going to do, and he dupes you, so a betrayal). I guess there's Sebastien if you want to go chaste but not totally insane. :/

You have a good point there. But I still wonder why Fenris stayed behind... Or maybe I heard it wrong. He stayed behind in Kirkwall, or he was the only one to stay at the Champion's side?
Also... The ending, where Cass and Leli say that the Champion disappeared at the same time as the Warden... WTF? Okay! So that means that the Warden lived in Origins. And Alistair lived. Sooo... Dark Ritual happened, most likely. What is the Warden and the Champion doing? AGHHH! I feel crazy.

He's a knight captain. Those who had the guide, or played the game, what was his place in all these?

I repeat the sentiment that the scene would have been much more epic and Anders would have made a much more powerful statement if he had rigged things so that the people INSIDE the chantry survived. So it wasn't just a mass-destruction spell, but that it was both destruction and preservation of life. All the Templars see when they look at mages is that destruction part... and Anders is proving them right by handing it to them. Obviously, the Templars have to be stopped because going to go kill all the mages is not the right response. But Anders KNEW that would be their response. He is just as guilty as the Templars for the deaths and mistrust of mages that will triple after his choice.

I bet Sebastian has some sort of dark dirty secret too, though. We just haven't been able to find out what it is. yet. No one is perfect in this game... NO ONE!!
