Honestly I'd just rather this was like DA:O where as long as you and your party members were friendly and you didn't do anything that went too much against their view, they'd just stick with you and help you.

Having all party members betray you at one point or other despite friendship/rivalry/romance is just depressing.

It reflects real life I think

Not really... it's not exactly common for your friends/loved ones to turn against you.

They don't in DA2, except Anders with the Chantry think, but I don't think it's really a betrayal.

It's not true, Fenris and Aveline remains with you if you sides with the mages with enough friendship/rivarly, and probably Merrill too. Anders and Seb are on the Loghain/Alistair situation, but I think that if you side with the mages Seb will remain if you kill Anders, and Anders maybe remains if you side with the templars

Yeah I'm not saying they all *leave* you, just that at one point or other they all betray you (even though you can forgive them). Having them all leave you would me even MORE depressing :pinched:

I wouldn't say possessed. Influenced, perhaps. Having two possessed characters in a party does seem like a bit much.

I agree.

That still makes two demon influenced characters then. Keep in mind, Merril was being influenced as well.

Is there an "Orzammer-esque" quest area? You know, the place u probably don't want to go to first unless u WANT to die horribly a few thousand times, at least on your first playthrough, lol.

Sebastian had better be a decent person. I don't care if his fault is that he's chaste and you can't make the boom-booms with him, I just want him to be a decent person. Revenge on his family's murderers is fine, I can live with that. But I hope there's nothing insanely nuts about him like the other companions.

Erm. He is kinda possessed by a desire demon.... is that important?

WHAT?!

The latest trailer certainly seems to very much HINT he's possessed or at least influenced by a desire demon who constantly tells him he must kill everyone and everything that stands in his way. I think this will deal with how he betrays you or has one of those 'oh noe u didn't' moments.

It's one of the reasons I refuse to believe he is fully a chaste romance. Have you SEEN desire demons!?

When I saw his trailer I thought maybe the desire demon was talking to him in the Fade, trying to seduce him to the dark side or something... I guess we won't find out for sure until we're playing that part of the game.

I hope he's not possessed... It's like everyone is effing possessed in this game.  By the DEBIL!!

Rethinking that, possessed isn't the right word. I remember possessed Conner. Influenced then.

Maybe the reason why he can't have sex is because that would be giving in to the desire demon?

That should be interesting <_<

If you have enough friendship/rivarly, Isabela will not leave with the relic. So ti's not a betrayal. Merrill will not betray you. from the info we've got Varric and Aveline, neither. The onyl really one who you could  thing it's a betrayal is Anders, but I don't consider it a betrayal. He has his own agenda.

Anyone notice that one of the battle themes in this game is from the DLC Leliana's song. Its the dungeon battle music. I love that theme.

Its the music that plays when Hawke gets into his first fight with those refugees when just arriving at Kirkwall.

LOL. Dunno about /the/ reason but if that's even a contributing factor I'll get giddy.

Well I don't really know the exact details, but from what I'd read in this thread I was under the impression that at least all 4 possible LIs at one point or other turned against Hawke, or at least did something that is very much against Hawke's best interests.

Well if that's not the case then good. It's just a shame it had to be Anders then :crying:

It's a damn better excuse then 'I'll break my vows to kill people, but not to show my love for you'.

Can you really count Merril's thing as turning on him though? I mean, the whole blood magic, influenced by a demon, having to murder her entire clan thing?

Anyway I had asked this a few pages back but no one answered:

Does the Chantry explosion event trigger the beginning of the endgame? Or does the endgame only start later?

Well I haven't really spoiled the whole story so I dunno. But well I definitely wouldn't mind if Merrill was a bit more on the sane side than the other 3.

Merrill  is forced to kill her clan. The demon is already inside Marethari, remember.

Yes, it triggers. But I think that you have the chance to talk with your companions in their home.

Does anyone have any confirmation on what Fenris' betrayal moment is.

I rmember that he went away at one point but then he returned.

I was thinking about a thing, It seems that the 4 most important characters in Kirkwall are destined to die.

If you think about it anders life has been well pretty crap his farther thought he was a monster when he lit the farm on fire. He lost a lover he also it was because of templars that he lost his place in the grey wardens pretty much so if y ou add everything that happend in his life this is kinda expected.

Ah, yes, destroying a Chantry full of innocents is totally excused in this case because Anders had a ****ty life. That makes perfect sense.

Yeah, I can't bring myself to agree with him at all... It's terrorising... It's wrong on so many levels... I just... I just... can't side with Anders on this one. I might even knife him in a few playthroughs... I might keep him in some but with rivalry, romance or not... Sebastian might get mad though...:(

Who?

Also ... do you think Sebastian will still get pissy and leave if you don't kill Anders but tell him to leave anyway?

Elthina, Dumar, Orsino and Meredith. The 4 person of the achievement.
About Seb, I don't know. I hope not, so Icould not kill Anders and have Seb in my party sometimes.
