Especially for a game that was only in development for two years.

Six months is 25% of the dev time....

If they changed major story/plot elements 6 months from the game's release, then DA2 is going to be terrible. You just can't make things up on the fly in a game like this. The story is the first part of the game to be locked down.

Maybe Meredith isn't possessed, maybe she's just got some super crazy templar-magic skills that are really up there because she's the knight-commander? We never got to see Gregoire's skills because he was never in a combat party around us, unless you count the denerim battle. But that doesn't really count because he wasn't in your group.

You might have a point, for all we know it could just be she has secret Reaver skills. Though her being possessed does explain why she fights Hawke at the end no matter what.

Exactly.  Story changes =/= Technical and graphical tweaks.

Besides, a lot of what we're finding confirms hints from magazine reviews and the game play videos we've seen.

Basically.

We've already assumed that Nathaniel was going to be a cameo. That has all been but confirmed here. If we didn't know who the LI's were, we'd know that for a female Hawke Anders and Fenris would at least be ruled out. Leliana & Zevran's voice actors were credited in the demo - Zevran has been revealed to have something to do with the game here. I could go on, really...

Guys, be nice. The poor guy is in denial. It's like when I read the carpet book of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, and I was like, nooo, this has gotta be a fake. The ending cannot be that bad!

...But then it turned out that it wasn't a fake, and I had to believe that yes, the ending really was that bad. Damn you, JKR!

But anyway, he's in denial. Just, let him be. He'll come around when the game comes out.

It makes me want it even more! I mean, Zevran and Nathaniel? YAY!  And I'm very interested to see how comes Meredith is all demony. And when/how Carver and Bethany dies/leaves/turn on you(?).

It doesn't remind me of blood wound, blood wound was far more awesome. It looks more like, damn I can't remember the name... not death hex but the other one with the similar name that would stop the target from healing and they'd suffer constant spirit damage.

Curse of Mortality? Yeah it does kind of remind me of that. 

Yes! That's it! I can't ever remember what that's spell called, probably because I get Blood Wound and the Hex Spell Line instead, lolz. It's a good one though.
