It happens sometimes. I bought the Sims 3 a week early. Plus, I remember getting Resident Evil 5 a week early after ordering it on Amazon. Technically, it's illegal, but still possible.

The problem with that might be that shipping is inconsistent.  Sometimes we get our strict-on-sale items a week in advance, sometimes it's just the day before.  There's really no guarantee that every store will get Dragon Age 2 on the same schedule.

There's no way to ever know, since he could always play without being logged in (if on a console)
PC would be a different matter because it has to do that ownership check it does when you run it the first time.

This site doesn't have the Dragon Age 2 social stuff implemented yet. Hold your horses.

I wonder if Zevran appears at this 'camp' no matter what decisions you make in Origins, besides killing him.

I would *hope* your Origins decisions affected this somehow. Without knowing what Zevran is up to, it's hard to say. But from what I understand from a friend who was playing with the toolset just now, that menu was dug up in Act 3 -- that's a long ways after Origins and Awakening...

- If the Warden romanced or friended Zev, and did the ultimate sacrifice, you've got him as a Crow Master or something, with any number of reasons for being here in DA2.

- If the Warden turned Zev away after the ambush, or let him leave after Taliesen was killed, he could be anywhere, we don't know where.

- Hopefully if the Warden killed him, he doesn't show up...

- If the Warden romanced Zevran, or was friends with him and had a relatively happy ending where they stayed together, I would wonder what the hell he was doing here.

I pre-ordered mine from my local EB Games, and there is NO way those guys would give it up early. They follow the letter of the law, so no possibility for me. I can't blame them since it's what they are supposed to do...

I was hoping to get a glimpse at his Hawke if he had one loaded. Darn!

Well I hope we don't  have lots of issues with that system like we did with DA:O when it first launched.

Allow me to do a summary (correct me if I am wrong here, as I can't be bother to backtrace them):

1. Zevran appeared in one of the Sundermount quest.
2. Nathaniel appeared in one of the Deep Road quest.
3. Leliana appeared in one of the Basti quest.
4. Fenris live in what possibly his former master's mansion, Merill in Alienage, Anders in his clinic, Isabela in The Hange Man, Varric is unknown,  (not certain about Aveline or Basti)
5. There is a cap on levels, though I got very confused about the numbers.
6. Bethany has three endings: Join the Circle, Died in the Deep Road, or Join the GW (?)
7. Carver has three endings: Join the Templar, Died in the DR, or Join the GW.


Am I missing anything?

My memory might have failed me, but I swear I saw it on one of those quest screenie. I might be wrong.

8. The talking darkspawn Disciple appeared in the DR.
9. There is something about Meredith's eyes.

@Wissenschaft Basti is my own nickname for Sebastian. My dear friend's baby son is named Sebastian and everyone's calling him Basti. So everytime I saw Sebastian name pop up I automatically nicknamed him Basti.

Not really. I've read the hobbit and the lord of the rings. When I saw the movies for the first time, it was still like seeing it for the first time. Same thing with star wars. I've read almost every book in the EU and I knew plenty of the goings on in the Clone war trillogy. Enough where I knew the general story and some of the major twists and turns. Yet seeing it all together wasn't ruined at all.

It only hurts the story when the story isn't a good one. If its a good story it doesn't matter what threads you know because when it is all woven together it means so much more.
