These pictures were likely not supposed to happen with the female as the arms aren't in the right positions.

Explain further. Do you mean they are clipping or something? Cause I don't see it.

Some people think that in the kissing scene, Merrill's arm looks weird because it should be sitting on the much higher shoulder of a male Hawke.  And the hair clipping, supposedly that disproves it somehow. 0_o

Merrill's hair clips even in official screens and footage. The first time we saw her in a dev diary it was happening on that exact same ear.

And it can't be photoshoped. You can see things like Merrill's fingers on the other side of FemHawkes neck which wouldn't be visible behind a male character's much larger shoulders. Modded, perhaps, but not photoshoped.

I like picturing the devs reading these speculations in a dark, dark office lit only by the glow of monitors, cackling over a tumbler of brandy as they watch us flail and ponder.

 Merrill looks emaciated. Someone feed that girl some venison!

All the elves look like they are starving now.

So, I guess that means they are going with the willowy LOTR type of elves. Just once, I would love to see someone buck the trend and make curvy elves. :o At least they are a bit taller now, which is nice.

I know they're not all bi-sexual because the writers aren't like that.

I'd say that Merrill isn't, Fenris is, Bethany isn't, Carver isn't, Sebastian isn't, Aveline isn't, Isabela is (but I doubt she'd want that to be a full relationship), Varric isn't, Anders isn't.

How would you know what the writers would and wouldn't want?

Gaider, in fact, has shown openess to such an approach for romances.

they had to spin their responce to the "who is bi?" question in a way that wouldnt upset either parties (homophobes and non-homophobes/awesomer people)

Dude, I can get naked with guys, I am not a homophobe.

The issue is that I don't agree with that type of relationship, and therefore I do not care for it, that doesn't make me homophobic.

I hate the misuse of terms.

Wouldn't Merrill's lips be higher then, not locking onto Lady Hawke's? If her partner is supposed to be higher?

Have you heard about french animated series Wakfu? Elves there might be quite to your liking.

It's ridiculous to assume that characters aren't bisexual just because their writers aren't. Not to mention, it makes you sound completely ignorant.

Homophobia is the irrational fear, dicrimination or any form of aversion to homosexuals, homosexual relationships and homosexuality in general. Thus technically you still qualify. ... sorry.

Not sure about the dark office and brandy, but I have to agree. You just know they've been laughing over how way off everyone's predicitons and speculations are.

The term irrational does not correspond to me if the reason is because of religion, reality, society-belief structure, and the fact you can't propagate with the same sex and thus it is unnatural.

And just to raise a bit more excitement, I went back and found the route to that again, it's a core quest in the circle named 'Enemies among us'

Afterthought: It would be quite easy for a reference to a female mage warden to be thrown in!

Because the writers DON'T AGREE WITH IT, does not have anything to do with whether they are or not.

If they've falsely presented themselves then fine, but if they haven't that's fine too.

Again, do not post again.

I then strongly urge you to actually read before you post. Also; let's not take this can of worms any further in this thread. If you feel strongly about it, you can PM me.

Moving on.

I forgot; what are Cullen's possible epilogues in Origins?
There's one where he eventually goes nuts and kills a couple of mages before he himself is killed.
