A bit, but he does NOT have horns, so not too much of a redesign.  From what David Gaider said (in a post I have no idea where to find) Sten is a rare Qunari born without horns, and they are like special, thought to have great destiny.

Alistair. He added so much fun to the game, whether I was playing a male or a female PC. I was really hoping that his appearance in DA2 would be a quest of some sort. Quite disappointed that it's apparently very short.

Zevran and Morrigan.
Both were awesome and incredibly useful in battle.
And Morrigan was the only girl (other than Shale maybe) that had an interesting character

Love some of the others more, but their personal stories are more tangled up with the Warden so its better to keep them apart from Hawke.

But Shale was amusing and useful. I wouldn't have minded seeing her wander into Kirkwall, help Hawke and co out, and then move on eventually. Hell, Shale being an immortal golem could have been the companion character common to every DA game.

Oghren. The funniest video game character I've encountered. I was rolling with laughter when he was talking about Alistair being a pike twirler with Wynne; when he came to rescue me and Alistair "What are you doing?" "What does it look like I'm doing?" "I dunno. Unless being hot counts."

I'd say Alistair or Zevran, Steve Valentine has the sexiest voice ever. I don't remember the guy that voiced Zevran, but very sexy as well and funny, as he was a man ho. I have been wondering if you can click on your party members and have conversations like DAO or is it like DAOA?
