2) You may have to prepare for upset. Very few people who played DA:O actually downloaded and played Awakenings to the end, and fewer people still care to analyze Anders' sexuality. I doubt the opinions of a handful of fans will have much impact on the writing process, but that is my opinion. As for rewriting? Hardly. Anders could be bisexual. Simply because he expressed more interest in women in DLC means nothing. If you want to be serious about his character and sexuality, then allow me to be the first to inform you that sexuality is fluid. It is a spectrum. Many people bounce back and forth between bisexuality and heterosexuality frequently. Kinsey provided a wonderful study on that phenomenom. Sexuality is not static. I was straight in highschool, and I'm now bisexual. My best dude friend was homosexual in highschool and recently emerged bisexual. These things happen.

I assume it's a fairness issue. Like, adding a male LI and not a female one. I'd be okay with it, but I'd like to assume we would get an equally delicious lady DLC later on.

It is possible they had already intended on placing him in DA2, and weren't interested in any bisexual options. Its possible they changed their minds in DA2s writing process, realized the popularity of more M/M options, saw that there was an opportunity to take his character in that direction, and penned it accordingly.

You know, with all the tings done to make DA2 closer to ME2 I think you may be right about them not wanting to include any m/m in the sequel in the first place.
But Anders aside from the psychopathic cannibal thing, which would prevent even my most straight Femhawke from romancing him, would hardly be my first choice for m/m Li either since in addition to finding him slighty annoying in Awakenings to begin with he would be even more in your face with his obvious fascination with anything remotely feminine than even Zevran in DA:O was. The fact that the guy was turned on by the boobies on a religious statue doesn't bode well at for him being an interesting m/m Li for me. 

@Catabuca while a normally straight character being Hawkesexual and having the hots for MHawke would be flattering for a one time fling it's not a good basis for the kind of romance I'd like to see in the game. If they made some cute npc's like Dairren in DA:O are like that in DA2 I would like that but I really, really hope they haven't gone that route with the in-party male Li's this time.

Hopefully, they aren't bisexual. I think it would cheapen the romances, and it takes realism away from the game. Why should every character be bisexual? Most people aren't.

Apropos of nothing (or nothing current in this thread), I don't know how people got ninjamanced by Zevran. I wanted to romance him, and instead accidentally locked myself out of it because I was trying to play coy. I had to restart my game. My luck is so terrible. 

I have to agree. I think I got ninjamance by him once, but his romance lines got pretty obvious and were easily avoidable if you don't want to romance him. Actually, the real ninjamancers, I feel, are Leliana and Alistair. Granted, Leliana had a glitch, but I couldn't avoid romancing Alistair when I didn't intend to. With my Dalish Warden, she was definitely on Team Zevran, but Alistair out of the blue gave her a rose. She rejected it, but he eventually came up again, confessed his feelings and got all jealous of Zev... This happened on multiple occasions with my elven mage and dwarven commoner, who all romanced Zevran(before I had to delete them. <_<). To this day, I need to read the dialog trees on the wiki to avoid accidently leading him on.

As for the topic, I have no problem with all the LIs being Bi and would actually approve of it if it were so, but I keep remembering a dev drilling something along the lines of, "Not everyone wants to bone your Hawke"(not the exact words). Though that may have more so for the constant LI speculation before they were confirmed, I kinda thought it applied that certain LIs can't be romance due to their own sexual preference. *shrugs*

1.No, I'm simply responding to you. I have no Problem with your grammar other than the double negative. I don't have great grammar myself. 

2.Yes Anders could be bisexual, I never denied that. I mereley said it would be a complete and utter copout for re Writing his character. And i Disagree that sexuality changes, but that's not really related to Dragon age 2 so i won't touch upon that issue. Also stop presenting your Opinions as facts. A study of sexuality is not a Scientific Law.

1) The cannablism line Hepler penned has been overexaggerated. It was only mentioned twice. It was placed for shock, but for the most part it should not define his character. Anders is much more interesting than that.

2) I wager Anders is very valuable to the story, since he's a companion who is an abomination and really reaches into the question of the Chantry vs Mages. His LI status sheds a lot of deeper, personal information on the subject and would tie in the PC even more into this emotional rollercoaster. From a story / character point of view, it would make a lot of sense and would be wonderfully fair of Anders was Bi-Optional.

3) Again. Sexuality is fluid if you want to assume Awakenings Anders is canon.

Well, haven't we been informed that there are non-companion LI's in game, too.  Perhaps there isn't an imbalance... or perhaps Sebastian is there to keep the balance?

I just have problem detecting it on the internet. And don't think her comments were at all sarcastic even when i look back at them now. They don't seem like jokes, They aren't funny or have a punchline.

OK, finally had some time for Photoshop... I manipulated the image a bit, I don't know about you guys but there are some serious artifacts in this pic (around the hair, the neck area... etc), but there's also some serious detail, some things were not visible in the original pic, if it was indeed a fake I don't think anyone would go that far to make it look real... I still can't make up my mind about it, but I'm leaning towards the real camp now.



I hope the thread doesn't derail into a debat about sexual orientations and even though I'm hetrosexual I have no problem at all with people having different orientations, it was (is) a light-hearted thread and please let's keep it that way.
