@Addai67: Sorry, I'm not sure who published it.  You'd have to ask Shey, as it was her magazine! D:

Okay, thank you very much.  I don't know the publication but having looked at the full page, it looks pretty official to me and I see no other errors in what they describe about gameplay changes etc.  So this is a good indicator to me that all the LIs are in fact bisexual.

The line reads:  "The heart shows:  Hawke and Fenris can begin a romantic conversation.  The options for same-sex love have been expanded."

Or you can just flirt with Fenris without it leading anywhere which is the popular opinion at the moment. <_<

It's funny, I'm a completely straight male, and you have have no idea how much I want both male LIs to be bi - if only to make up for the absence of m/m stuff in Mass Effect.

If they're all bi, then that's.......that's just fine.... :o

Couldn't have said it better :wizard:

It's called M! and it's the latest edition only just come out. We've had 2 or 3 people independently read it and confirm what it says on the m/m thread over the weekend. It's pretty exciting news, and it's been part of what we've been basing our optimism on all this time.

If all the caption said was "you can begin a romantic conversation," I could see that, because we know the heart just means the intent behind Hawke's line and not necessarily anything about how the NPC responds.  But the fact that they put it in connection with s/s options being increased over Origins, it would be pretty misleading.  Not sure why you would caption a shot of mHawke and Fenris and talk about s/s relationships if at least Fenris wasn't in the running.  Of course, it wouldn't be the first time a game reviewer was sloppy about the details.

You know I would fall to the ground and worship you forever more if you happen to be right. But you're not. Because my gaming life sucks.

Which side? 'Cause when I say you're all nuts, I do mean both sides of the debate.

Will you still find it exciting if it's implemented in a less developed way than the Origins romances?  I know I won't.  Of course, I'm biased, since that's not content I'd use anyway, but really that's all I'm concerned about.  I'd rather be reading reviews that say the character development is deeper and "aufgestockt," rather than that we get to ship with tons more permutations but reviewers also saying that character development is shallower.

If it's ME2 style "romance" just with bi options, that will be a big letdown.

The optimists saying THEY'RE ALL BI of course. (If that wasn't obvious enough from my sig.)

I vote not.

If they can make it believable then fine, but I don't see how they can.

I can't believe this thread has been rumbling right along, unimpeded, for over 30 pages. Heck, David Gaider even stopped by to say hi.

The picture in the OP made me vote yes.
I would like an Anders-Fenris-Isabela-Merrill sandwich please. (And throw Hawke somewhere in there.)

That's an awful big leap though. Gaider himself has assured us in a previous 'All Bi LIs' thread that if they implemented romances in that way we shouldn't leap to the conclusion that they'd try to do it in the worst way possible. You're basing it on a whole lot of what-ifs. If they didn't think they could do it justice they wouldn't do it, period. Whether they do do it justice or not ... well that's always going to be subjective and in the eye of the individual player.

And honestly, really and truly honestly, despite me not being happy with the way the ME2 romances played out, I would have been a hell of a lot happier had there been a s/s option among the rag-tag crowd of LIs than what we actually got. A heck of a lot. But regardless, what happened with ME2 is not indicative of what will or might happen with DA2 or any other BW game. Each game builds on what went before, at the same time as being a separate entity that has its own signature. We can't really make comparisons to the degree you are doing. It's misleading.

Yes, ME2 style "romance" Maker preserve all us warm blooded creatures from that...  However, there is hope, that cutscene with Isabella jumping male Hawke, nothing like that in ME2.
