There are plenty of other homosexual, furry, bondage, interspecies, incest etc. love threads that get caged. Why is this one special? I'm geniounely curious as to why similar threads are treated differently.

Uh, ok... one more time.  When I say I don't want ME2 style romances, I mean that I don't want something rushed and superficial.  Couple conversations, two minute pre-sex scene, let's go kill the bad guys- barely qualifies as a romance story line at all which is why I put "romances" in scare quotes.  I'm perfectly fine with fade to black for the hummida-hummida and probably prefer that myself.  But I want lots of development outside the sack.

It's among the reasons I preferred the DA:O romances as well: sex didn't seem the end goal for all of them. Considering Zevran was my first romance, it wasn't anywhere near the end goal at all. So yeah, any romance that doesn't treat sex as a commodity I have to attain? Preferable.

Which, I believe, is something asexuals would prefer as well (not asexual, so am making an assumption--may well be incorrect).
